I have been working at Chili's Grill and Bar full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The staff is amazing. Everyone gets along really well together. Hardly any drama going on. Fast paced environment. Good pay.

    Cons

Being understaffed definitely takes its toll. Management is a little unfair. Being a managers favorite will get you better treatment.

    Advice to Management

    Don't play favorites

I have been working at Chili's Grill and Bar full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good money for good work I've been with chilis for two years and have enough to support me and my family.

    Cons

Management cares more about the surveys intent to return. Schedules meeting for people below 75% and doesn't allow them to clock in. Also can be taken off schedule for low survey numbers. Really hard to keep above 75% when a 5 stars is 100% 4 is 0% and anything below brings you to negatives. This company is all about numbers.

    Advice to Management

Schedule people on skill instead of their numbers.

I have been working at Chili's Grill and Bar part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Doesn't feel like you're working for a corporation as big as Chili's is; care about individual employees; merit-based benefits and treatment

    Cons

    Lack of input on scheduling

    Advice to Management

    Keep treating employees as individuals.

There are a lot of great things about working for Chili's including:
    -Flexible hours
-Easy to get time off when needed
    -Great people
    -Effective management

    Cons

Not a lot of negatives from working here that wouldn't be at other restaurants but a few common ones
    -Inconsistent tips
-Depending on the shift you might be busy the whole time or you might end up standing around a lot of your shift

    Advice to Management

I have been working at Chili's Grill and Bar part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Nice managers, decent money, flexible scheduling, cool team members.

    Cons

It would be the perfect job if it weren't for the guests. The kind of people that go to chili's are not the kind of people that you want to rely on to leave you tips. Prepare to get bad tips very often.

I worked at Chili's Grill and Bar full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Employee Meals, flexible work, training, friendly competitions, great managers who supported staff, fast pace, room to move up.

    Cons

Some of the people (cooks) were jerks. Be more selective with servers, turnover is high due to the fact that servers can handle the fast pace.

    Advice to Management

I never saw my GM. He was always on vacation and left the nighttime shifts to the new managers.

I worked at Chili's Grill and Bar full-time

    Pros

Flexible schedule allows for attending classes, raising a family or a second job. Performance-based scheduling for sections and shifs.

    Cons

Corporate environment which is good for stability and benefits, but does not allow for a whole lot of individuality.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work. The only advice that I would have is a general statement to all people think before you speak.

I worked at Chili's Grill and Bar full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The discounted food is pretty great, and depending on which store you're at you may make friends for life. People tend to be like family there.

    Cons

I had this job in college and could never afford to pay all bills on my own even though I was working full time.

    Advice to Management

Be aware of each employee's individual situation. If you're not giving them the hours they need to support themselves or their families, then you're basically a terrible person.
