    Pros

Met some of the best people I know while working at Chili's.

    Cons

The brand is very confused. It is not sure what is wants to be to it's consumers. Working in operations, and then to upper management, there was a stark contrast in reality as to what was expected from the operators. The parameters that are given vs what is expected is just not realistic. Managers would be crying daily because the stress that would be placed on their shoulders was too high. The menu is ridiculously large and impossible to execute properly.

    Advice to Management

Figure out what kind of restaurant you want to be. Listen to your operators honest feedback. Labor parameters are just too tight to operate a menu with 120 items. The fact that the menu cannot be executed properly and timely is why you are losing guests. And guess what....Bussers help keep your restaurants clean at very minimal cost. Big mistake to eliminate them.

    Pros

Decent money and decent benefits. Can be an incredibly fun environment. If you're interested in owning your areas of responsibility, driving for great business results and getting the bonus that comes with it, perhaps worth it. Invaluable experience.

    Cons

Poor quality of life. Lots of managers out there with poor leaderships skills. Training is weak, compliance is weak.

    Advice to Management

Potential managers needs to be priority 1.

Train them...not just going through the motions but actually prepaere them for all aspects of their job responsibilities.

Quality of life sucks when you combine the hours/days and working with/for managers with integrity issues.
