I have been working at Chiltern International full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

As a European-based CRO, Chiltern truly has a global mind-set as opposed to other CROs who tout a global perspective but are very USA-centric. Therefore, work-life balance is truly valued.

Given the smaller size of the company, you have many opportunities to learn and grow and really shape the company.

As a field-based employee, I feel connected with my line manager and project team.

    Cons

The systems implemented function well and are just fine at getting the job done, but other leading CROs still are more advanced.

There's no tuition reimbursement or student loan benefit.

    Advice to Management

Offer more educational opportunities and resources for advancement for upper level employees (i.e., SCRA wanting to move into a CTL position or a CTL wanting to move into Clinical Programming or Pharmacovigilance)

    Pros

Lots of room for advancement. You don't feel pigeon-holed here as I did at a large CRO. I feel I have the opportunity to get more involved. There is a lot of teamwork across departments. I feel I can see the impact of my work and have seen many get promoted from within.

    Cons

Not a place to come to if you are looking to coast by and not work.

    Pros

I have absolutely loved my time here at Chiltern. The people are friendly, the managers actually listen and do their best to accommodate your needs and the work/life balance is superb. This is the first time I've actually felt like a person and not a number. I am very pleased with this organization and am looking to grow and be here for the long haul!

    Cons

a little behind in technology, but they are working tirelessly everyday to improve that

    Advice to Management

Keep treating your employees as individuals and not numbers!
