I worked at Chilton Memorial Hospital part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The pay is pretty good for someone still in school and they were very flexible\understanding with my hours. I could always take off time if I needed it and take up more hours as well.

    Cons

A lot of the departments are cliquey. A lot of gossip goes on through out the hallways of the hospital. People would try to pass on work to different co-workers or departments. A lot of the employees had a bad attitude and felt as if they were owed something before offering help to a fellow co-worker.

    Advice to Management

I would definitely try to get a hold of all the gossip going on around the departments. It got to points where departments would have a feud between one another and it's just ridiculous. On top of that the managers really need to be aware and more careful with scheduling and when people should/shouldn't get time off. Summer was always a mad house there.

I worked at Chilton Memorial Hospital full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You leard how to work fast because of the pressure on you.

    Cons

The work environment is hostile you will find yourself not trusting anybody, there's not real partners and every department is an island. Every minute that I worked there I feel like somebody will die if I didn't run to any problem. Nobody get promote here because of the dinosaur that have been working there for 20 years.

    Advice to Management

Learn how to do your job because you are not logger a secretary, you just have the position because your 15 years working there.
