Revolving Door - Soon, there will only be temps working here
Aug 22, 2015 - Anonymous Employee in Marietta, GARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Everyone gets along well. I like my coworkers. Benefits are very decent. Pay is always on time.
Cons
Pay is thousands (10k to 15k) less than competitors. Lots of employees have left and continue to leave. Many temps work here. No formal training process, which sets temps up for failure. Dead end job with no growth potential. Employees are getting industry experience at China Shipping and then they resign to go work for competitors earning thousands more, which causes stress and increased workload for everyone left behind.

Pros
This is a very flexible position, however you must be able to keep yourself motivated. I am not sure if they are still hiring in North America.
Cons
You must be 100% self motivated. If you require feedback, accountability, and personal interactions, this is not the job for you.

Management is very helpful at all levels and they do not micro-manage your work like some companies that I have worked for in the past.
Cons
Politics do exist within the staff as it seems certain groups of people are moved up much quicker than others more deserving.

Worst Job Ever!!!!

A pay check until s bigger ship come sailing through...great medical, dental & vision benefits
Cons
Worst Operations and Management Staff. From Corporate to Marietta. Most of them have very little experience in the industry and have no clue about managing anyone but was hand-picked as managers because of favoritism. Having personalities of a rock is the #1 requirement.

CSNA Start Up - Marietta, GA
Oct 28, 2014 - Inter-modal Operations Coordinator in Marietta, GARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Nice building and new office space. Average benefits.
Cons
Very poor start up. Some of management have not worked in the areas they are managing. Hired inexperienced employees and temps who cannot easily grasp the details of this industry. Experienced personnel are not rewarded for hard work & are expected to train temps while performing their daily tasks. This company requires more than normal from their employees due to lack of knowledge by management and not enough people to handle the workload. The pay is average with lots of overtime.

Pros

High turnover !!!
Sep 17, 2015 - Anonymous Employee in Marietta, GARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Benefits are good but that's about it.
Cons
Very low pay and office morale which causes people to come and go. It's literally a revolving door. I have been here over a year and I have seen 40 plus people leave. Some people even come for a week and leave because of poor training. They have replaced years of experience with temps and a large percentage of that office are temporary workers. Management is a disaster as well. They know the information but they have zero leadership qualities ALL OF THEM. I highly doubt this office will be open in 5 years with the way things are going.

It's Ok.....not getting any better
Dec 4, 2015 - Anonymous in Marietta, GARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
I like my boss. I like my coworkers. I like the benefits. I like what I do. The building is nice and the atmosphere is nice. That's about it. Management is okay but needs MAJOR improvement.
Cons
Ridiculously low pay for the industry. This place is overflowing with temps all the time. To have temps is great but when all you have is temps because all the good people leave is not so great. Temps train temps because they can't keep people because all the good ones leave when they find out they can make 10k more down the street with the competitor. Mgmt tends to send out these emails of dress code and childish rules about staying at your desks...when they need to come up with incentives and ways to keep the good folks they hire. And worry less about petty things.... This place loses 1 person every week or two, to competitors. Literally. I've been here for almost a year and have seen close to 50-60 people leave. It is really depressing seeing all these good people leave. I'm starting to wonder if I should stay....if things don't change, I will probably leave as well.

Pros
There is not single reason to work for China cheap(I meant Shipping) company. If you are not Chines there is no benefits for you.
Cons
The most corrupted company. They discriminate their employees being non Chinese in Salary and Benefits. They torture and harass their employees badly. Highly discrimination for the employees who are over the age 57. Fun part is, you have some nice co-workers. High to lower management is very cheap & discriminating their staff members. They take disadvantage of their staff.
