Lots of opportunity to move up.

      Pros

We’re essential. They’re corporate owned so everything is pretty much structured the same at every location. You can start from Crew and work your way up to management. If you can work fast under a lot of pressure and can keep your cool with rude customers you will be fine. Has lots of benefits. Free meals.

      Cons

A lot of rules. You will have to memorize a lot of procedures. Chipotle will let go of you for things not being done their way. Customers feel entitled. You won’t have a set schedule so be prepared to work varying shifts.

Good/decent pay for being a fast food job, free meals

      Pros

Good pay for fast food, free meals, paid sick days, insurance benefits

      Cons

You might not be trained properly at some points depending on who you get, not a job for someone who doesn't like fast paced environment, or people, especially under heat and pressure

Good job with Solid Benefits; But Hectic & All Consuming

      Pros

Overwhelmingly positive work environment, routinely good management (if an unfortunate amount of turnover of crew AND management), the fact that they offer benefits even to part-time employees. Free meal while you work, and 50% employee discount any other day.

      Cons

Chipotle can be very overwhelming-- sometimes, you just get busy which is normal for restaurants. There were days though, where I didn't take two steps away from line/cash for an entire 7+ hour shift. Chipotle as a company can and will take over your life if you let it-- even if you're only part-time. Sounds crazy, but there it is. You have to see it to believe it.

can be a great place to work

      Pros

at my chipotle i get really good hours for part time and they’re pretty flexible with hours. but i’ve heard otherwise about different locations. the job is easy if you learn quickly and efficiently. you also earn paid sick hours so that’s good. you one free meal per shift. so you can only get one entree for free and not another free one for your family or friends. same thing when you’re not working you get 50% off but it’s only one entree.

      Cons

it’s very stressful. you’ll have a line that wraps around the whole restaurant while you have to clean the dining room, ring up customers, stock the self serve, sometimes bag chips because there’s none, and deal with Karens all that the same time. if you’re in high school and want this to be your first job, i would recommend starting at another job first and gaining some experience and building some customer service skills because you would be unprepared and management tends to hire those with experience.

      Pros

good pay and lots of hours! i work part time and got 35-38 hours a week get a free meal including a side of chips and quac\queso any size

      Cons

It gets busy really fast and you have to juggle many tasks while cashing customers. like wiping tables, drink machine, cleaning carry trays, restock napkins/fork ware, cashing people out and sometimes bringing onlines to the rack. After a while you pick up on some things but it’s definitely a struggle when you’re on cashier by yourself. also if you’re a closer you will be getting out late! usually between 11:25pm-12:00am
