    I worked at ChoiceStream full-time

    Pros

-Some nice people scattered throughout various departments -Healthcare is covered -Flexible work from home policy

    Cons

In short, ChoiceStream has 2.9 stars on glassdoor for a reason. If you're reading this, you know that working here is a bad idea. In case you need further convincing: -Terrible management who add nothing productive to the company, just needless meetings -No growth potential -Terrible product that no one actually cares about -Laid off ~10% of staff w/out warning, company will likely be out of business in the next... 2 years -Pay is below average -Office is difficult to get to via public transit and there is limited parking

    Pros

Sales managers do not micromanage and allow you to do what you need to do to get the job done. You're expected to forecast and track revenue, but not stuck in Salesforce or spreadsheets all day like some other companies. Benefits are very competitive and commissions are uncapped. Potential to make a lot of money if you put in the effort. Great opportunity for people who are comfortable working independently and... are truly new business hunters.

    Cons

The industry is tough right now with tons of competition and agency trading desks taking large chunks of DSP budgets. It can be difficult to differentiate to agencies and make them take the leap of testing a new partner. Not as much sales support as you would get at larger companies. You're expected to put together most of your own RFPs & marketing materials are somewhat limited. Can't compete with the T&E of... the Google's & Facebook's of the world.

    Pros

Leadership is very nice and approachable. Excellent benefits. Fair compensation.

    Cons

Very small minded company. They have not kept up in the fast past technology space and now their offering is second tier quality at best. Product offers nothing unique in the programmatic environment .TONS of turnover as they can't seem to keep people. Any prospective employee needs to check LinkedIn to see the mass exodus. Executive leadership talks about vision but does nothing to actually execute or grow the... company. Technology and revenue are stagnant. ChoiceStream is the choice only if you want to stall your career.

    Advice to Management

Get serious for a change and truly invest in the company especially marketing. Other options is find a way to sell to the supposed interested companies and cash out with some value why you can.

    No opinion of CEO

    I worked at ChoiceStream full-time

    Pros

Account Managers and Sales (non-VP) are a group of smart, fun, energetic group of individuals. HR is helpful and CEO is approachable.

    Cons

Non existent marketing department. Can't hold on to employees to have one. VPs don't communicate the company direction; their only interest is to justify their jobs on a weekly basis. Forget getting answers from a director and above title, they don't even bother answering their e-mails and standing you up on a client facing meeting or industry event is common practice without any sort of communication.

    Advice to Management

    does it even matter?

I have been working at ChoiceStream full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Smart, curious, diligent & enthusiastic employees have very good opportunities here. There are a bunch of different systems that support various parts of the business. Management is easy to talk to and collaborative with the teams.

    Cons

It would be nice to know more about what is going on at the satellite offices. Some of those offices are major drivers for the performance of the place. It would make some things less abstract about the performance of the company.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the collaborative communications with the departments. Remind people the vested that we are all in this together.

I have been working at ChoiceStream full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great teams. Fun atmosphere. Product offering continues to develop. Good HR benefits and growing list of employee perks.

    Cons

Most teams are well-staffed but others seem to be understaffed. No 401K match.

    Advice to Management

Continue to hire good people to keep the strong culture we have become accustomed to. Keep acknowledging employees who set the mark for above and beyond work. Maintain recent momentum; remain transparent around new initiatives.

    I worked at ChoiceStream

    Pros

Great benefits, HR team that is willing to listen to employees, fun/friendly group of young professionals across account management, marketing and engineering.

    Cons

Poor team leadership, inexperienced individuals are given roles and responsibilities beyond their capabilities which results in leaders who are not capable of growing or developing their teams. Little opportunity to grow based on sporadically enforced company policies and due to constantly changes initiatives set forth by management and by marketing team leadership.

    Advice to Management

Stop awarding VP level job titles to individuals/friends who are not qualified to do the job. Listen to employees when they express concerns that not only impact their career trajectory but the company as a whole. Work on developing some real culture by hiring people who are experts in what they do, are enthusiastic and have a sense of responsibility when it comes to professional development.

I worked at ChoiceStream full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - The benefits are great - The company does acknowledge hard work - Management makes a good effort to be transparent on company finances - Potential for a lot of learning - The product and business model are very interesting

    Cons

You fall into two camps and ChoiceStream. You either sit at your desk and do nothing for 8 hours or you are overloaded with work. The management and culture are stale. It's hard to tell if anyone is interested in the product anymore. As a result, motivation and vision are at a low. Overall product planning, vision and priorities remain a mystery to most of the staff. It feels like your work is meaningless and you... are going nowhere. The attitude of " just enough to get by " permeates all departments including management. There can be serious pay inequality. Management seems to be a group of good 'ol boys from previous companies and have worked together for a long time. Many have been at this company for a while and have not changed their management style. New blood is needed from the top down.

    Advice to Management

Ask yourself if you are even interested in this product anymore. Senior managers need to act like managers and also do work. If they do not care about the product how can employee's? ChoiceStream has an exciting product but our employee's know so little about it and how they play a part in it's ongoing development. Re-enforce individual value. Employee's often feel like their work is of no importance or that they... are isolated. How can that be changed? Review your own management style. I feel a more flexible, open-minded approach can resolve these issues.
