I worked at Christ Hospital full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Excellent Hospital setting. Good staffing ratio with team spirit. Great experience for employees that are other centered and motivated.

    Cons

I live in Northern Kentucky and the drive takes over 30 minutes at the minimum, but depending on circumstances can become much longer due to traffic.

I worked at Christ Hospital full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Benefits (although many co-workers said they’re better at other hospitals)

    Cons

Catty co-workers and management. Poor management who fuels the fire of gossip and bullying (assistant manager can’t even spell). Cliques. No employee appreciation. Set up to fail. Poor training.

    Advice to Management

Look around you, everyone is leaving for a reason. Your high turnover and poor employee satisfaction surveys should tell you something. You’ve made all the wrong choices and now look where you are. Be fair leaders. Take a course in leadership/management. Don’t engage in gossip. Don’t choose favorites. Get off your butts and out of your office and see for yourselves what’s really going on and who your great employees are instead of listening to 20 year olds who are simply out to get the people they don’t like or feel threatened by fired.

I have been working at Christ Hospital full-time

    Pros

    Not applicable at this time.

    Cons

    Unreliable. Unstable. Lazy coworkers. Unprofessional.

    Advice to Management

Do not give an employees position to another employee without consent or forcefully put someone in another position.

I have been working at Christ Hospital part-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Room for advancement. Certain Management personnel backs you up, gives encouragement. Great corporation, great patient care and satisfaction

    Cons

Insurance very expensive. Upper Management main goal is profit vs employee safety or satisfaction a lowly taking away incentives such as clinical ladder

I have been working at Christ Hospital (More than a year)

    Pros

Co workers work hard, pay is decent. Good work experience. Flexible scheduling is their strongest quality, especially for student employees.

    Cons

Management is stifled either by their incompetence, or by their superiors. Not all employees are treated equally. Management cares more about minute details than employee satisfaction. Pay should be better.

    Advice to Management

Care about employees more than your bottom line. Then employees would surpass your expectation.

I have been working at Christ Hospital full-time

    Pros

    very excellent place to learn

    Cons

expensive benifits, high deductible on EPO, PPO

    Advice to Management

make employee health care affordable, lower deductible plan and lower premiums. appreciate your employees by bringing back union type benifits such as time and one half on sundays, double time on holidays, if working the holiday offer another day off the same week with pay. this would go a long way to retaining staff. As this is a faith based institution consider making Easter a holiday, this is part of work/life balance.

I have been working at Christ Hospital full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Work with great, understanding doctors who truly care about their patients. Can’t think of anything else? They used to reimburse for uniforms but not anymore

    Cons

No room for advancement. Actually being told a job I was qualified for would be a “conflict of interest” because my current co-workers wouldn’t take me seriously??? Pay raises are laughable. Too much micro managing from upper management

    Advice to Management

You’ll get more from your employees if you appreciate them. And not from a corny email from CEO saying “we appreciate you”....
