I worked at Christ Hospital part-time

    Pros

Loved working at The Christ Hospital. The best part is the people.

    Cons

The corporate red tape in getting things done seems to be endless. Part of that is the way of the medical industry these days.

    Advice to Management

Management has got to stop, turn around, and remember their best asset is their people. It is getting lost in the desire to get big and become the best "institution." Your institution is nothing without appreciating your people -- attracting the best people and motivating the best out of them.

    Pros

The drive to excellence is ever-present, compelling us to deliver the world-class care that our patients have come to expect.

    Cons

There can be frustration with management and structure, though it is hard to tell if this is the result of being a smaller institution or just the nature of the job.

I have been working at Christ Hospital full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The team of people I work with are great, everyone is dedicated to providing a great patient experience.

    Cons

The hospital has gone down hill drastically in the last 5 years. The leadership team is only focused on the bottom line. The workload is excessive and they don't provide the tools and resources to get the job done. The turnover is at an all time high, everyone is out for themselves, there is no "teamwork" any more.

    Advice to Management

It's upsetting to see how bad things have gotten, there needs to be a complete overhaul in leadership and a change in focus.

I have been working at Christ Hospital full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great co-workers, great doctors, good food options

    Cons

Under qualified management who constantly change policies on a weekly basis (makes it hard to remember what the correct protocol is) , VERY underpaid, no room for advancement, SOME OF THE WORST HEALTH BENEFITS (a healthcare company should want to make their health insurance coverage afforable since they are front line working with very sick patients), extremely micro-managed, we are pushed to turn rooms over too quickly that safety becomes a serious concern...

    Advice to Management

Take care of your employees, respond to them when they reach out to you, attend to issues that they bring to your attention instead of ignoring them, stop changing policies back and forth every week

I worked at Christ Hospital (More than a year)

    Pros

The benefits were decent. I liked my coworkers.

    Cons

NO support from management from your direct report all the way up the chain. No money for replacement hardware, direct report manager always in meetings so I rarely saw either one. Unrealistic expectations of supporting 125 locations, being on call AND building a new location every other week. VERY Stressful and inconsistent pay range. Oh, and no chance for advancement but plenty of chances for more work and responsibilities.

    Advice to Management

    Support your people!
