I worked at Christmas Tree Shops full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Gives you something to do and just enough to scrape by.

    Cons

Silly salary. Horrible management and ethics. Dirty warehouse and poor equipment.

    Advice to Management

A woman in the HR department was very pushy and offensively harassing. I suggest that HIPPA protocol is enforced and reviewed, as the woman daily asked me for dialogue between my doctor and myself. All matters were documented with doctor’s notes stating my restrictions. I eventually resigned as a direct result to her unethical behavior. Much of the equipment in the warehouse is outdated and mechanically deficient. It is by far one of the dirtiest warehouses I have ever encountered. I’m sure it’s been said countless times, but if you’d pay a little better and hire people with experience, you’d be rewarded with better output. I’ve seen countless items damaged, thousands upon thousands of dollars wasted... but rather than addressing the concerns of low wages, temps are constantly revolving in and out of the company. I have seen the same temp worker return after they have resigned. If there were random drug tests, you’d find that you’d lose 3/4 of your staff of the overnight crew. Fix your ethical problems, address cleanliness and safety and TAKE CARE OF YOUR EMPLOYEES. You’ve got to spend money to make money. Any reasonable person knows that.

    Pros

The coworkers were amazing and made it worth going to work. Getting to help people shop was fun. They let you come up with creative solutions to satisfy the customer.

The call center has a very strict attendance policy. If you have kids that are sick or a car issue they are not the most accommodating.

    Advice to Management
