I have been working at Chromalloy Gas Turbine full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Pay, this is truly a production shop ran with antiquated processes.

    Cons

Managements belief that a company can be run off Metrics rather than an intimate knowledge of it's products and production processes is a fairytale destined for failure. There is too much dependence on senior hourly employees in making management decisions. Thus the company operates on tribal knowledge inevitably displacing technological advancement. Intimidated by the fear of losing senior employees. Therefore newly hired highly skilled labor is reduced to simply button pushers.

    Advice to Management

Revamp management with experienced leader's that can in-act training, quality and scheduling processes. Get over the underlying racist stigma and promote employees based on performance and qualifications.

I worked at Chromalloy Gas Turbine full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Employee Engagement, company culture, senior leadership, benefits and compensation are very generous. The regional site leader; Scott Sanders is a true mentor and exemplifies the description of a professional manager with strong integrity.

    Cons

The only con was the senior leader in Human Resources as well as the lack of a pulse that Palm Beach Gardens Corporate had on the divisions and the efforts it took to accomplish project management.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing as this was the best company I had the pleasure of working at.
