I have been working at Chrysalis Health full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

From my experience, some of the best experiences I've had started with the interview process. I felt comfortable, I was able to be myself, the staff was naturally cordial. After being hired, I met the rest of the wonderful people that work for the agency. Building great rapports with other employees in the other departments is fun and exciting. Everyone seems so happy. I didn't see one face that had a frown. I am so happy to be here and to be a part of this company.

    Cons

I haven't seen anything that has been unsatisfactory.

    Advice to Management

Continue to provide clinical excellence to your community. Provide quality over quantity with regards to services. Continue to pay attention to the needs of the community, employees, and the company.

I have been working at Chrysalis Health full-time

    Pros

This is an excellent agency that provides plenty of flexibility. Organizational culture values going the extra mile for clients. Solid EMR.

    Cons

Would be helpful if remaining paper forms (i.e., consents) were integrated in computer.

I worked at Chrysalis Health (More than 3 years)

    Pros

This company allows for flexibility and great weekly bonuses.

    Cons

Management gets distracted and focuses more on money than supporting the field employees who are the heart and soul of the company. Their expectations are unrealistic which in result causes a high turnover rate.

    Advice to Management

Support and appreciate your field employees. Allow for a smaller case load to provide quality care to the people who need it the most.

I have been working at Chrysalis Health full-time

    Pros

I have worked at Chrysalis going on 5 years now. I started as a receptionist and have been able to advance into other departments. Chrysalis has given me the opportunity to grow professionally and personally and I am grateful to have had the opportunity. I have been able to truly figure out my career path while working here. Chrysalis upper management is one of the most supportive and family oriented agencies I have ever worked for. They really allow you to have a work/life balance.

    Cons

All companies have pros and cons but for me the pros outweigh any cons that that they may have.

I worked at Chrysalis Health full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Set own schedule, can take time off, not micro managed.

    Cons

The hourly rate including gas is not sufficient for the work you do which includes phone calls, documentation, etc. Other companies that are fee for service such as big Bear pay minimum $34.00 per hour. We don't get paid for group supervision. The insurance we must keep on our vehicles is extremely high, which works out to cut into our hourly rate. PTO accumulated is minimal. As of january, we must see a mandatory of 100 clients per month, whereas when I was hired (a few weeks before the change) it was only 80 and that's why I agreed to take the job as I has a set plan in place to undertake higher education while working. They changed the bonuses which is terrible. So now we must work even more to get more and chrysalis talks comstantly about doing self care, but how can you when you have to meet these quotas?? When your year is up they "promote
You" to lead therapist for line $1.00-1.50 more per hour in an effort to keep you on. They need to give you more than that. Also, instead of adding clients to your caseload that are all over the place have a set intake person who zones the zip codes and then assign them according to each therapist who takes those zip codes instead of adding randomly.

    Advice to Management

Listen to employees about the pay. You're paying at bachelor level when you subtract all of the expenses!!

I have been working at Chrysalis Health full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Autonomous environment. For the most part you are not micromanaged and are given the flexibility to for your personal life to not be affected by the job.

    Cons

As you can see the majority of the positive reviews here are from the HR department itself. It's a very clique environment. Money hungry, salary for most employees are well below the average. High turnover, they are constantly losing employees because they are focusing they're resources in all the wrong places. Always making changes, most of them major changes but all is done in secrecy. Staff is not inform or consult about of the changes until is already been done because none of it is in the best interest of the employees.
