I worked at Chrysalis Health full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Flexible schedule
    Independent work
    Supportive team
    Open communication with management

    Cons

Some might have a problem with not being able to physically work with your co-workers. This is strictly independent work; you make it into what you want.

    Advice to Management

Great job with implementing shadowing and your open communication.

I have been working at Chrysalis Health full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Lots of trainings and education. Very supportive staff and leadership. You can make your own schedule.

    Cons

Fee for service job, so you only get paid of you see clients. Unpredictable paychecks. Work odd hours and weekends. Health benefits are outrageously expensive.

    Advice to Management

Try to work on lowering cost of health benefits. Offer pay for all trainings not just trainings over 4 hours.

I have been working at Chrysalis Health full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

During my first month at Chrysalis, I have been supported exponentially more than other places I have worked. The training provided during orientation for the Orlando campus is thorough and well-taught. I definitely felt prepared to begin working with clients and adhere to the company's policies. They supported me in being compliant with my documentation, ensuring that I have an understanding of the fundamentals of therapeutic effectiveness and interventions, and providing the best care for my clients, even with personal crises simultaneously occurring.

    Cons

You will need to have strong organization and time management skills to be able to schedule clients and allow time to drive between each one.

    Advice to Management

Thank you for providing amazing support and training during this first month!

I worked at Chrysalis Health full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexible hours, make your own schedule, can take time off when needed as long as you see your clients four times per month, can request as many clients as you want but have to have a minimum of 25 to be full-time, offer free clinical supervision towards licensure, lots of training opportunities

    Cons

Unpaid trainings, not reimbursed for gas or tolls, get dropped to part-time if not able to maintain 100 hours monthly (25 clients per week), no company unity, work independently and don't really get to know colleagues, need to be self-disciplined enough to complete notes daily, have to commute to main offices at least once a month for supervision and staffings, yearly $0.25-$1 raise up to $31 for mental health therapist, not salary position, very costly insurance, bonus structures are nearly impossible to reach

    Advice to Management

Drop required case load back down to 80 hours per month to prevent burnout and stress levels , pay for all trainings

I worked at Chrysalis Health full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Since they're not credentialed yet, you really can't consider them a fully working company here in Columbus, Ohio. Until they get credentialed, there really are no pros.

    Cons

First and foremost, the current position opening in Columbus, Ohio is nothing but lies. The job is out in the community, and you will be sharing the office with the director who is clearly passive-aggressive. The company is not even credentialed yet, so you might not even have a job until they are which is debatable. The pay listed is either been raised by $20/hour or a complete lie. You will be travelling to all Medicaid clients without being reimbursed for gas or the time it takes to drive either way. They make a big deal out of the bonuses, but they seem to be very unreachable.
You are expected to market yourself to get more clients which really should be done by the company which they say will be done once they are credentialed. As other therapists mentioned, training is complicated and really should be 2 weeks to learn what you need to know. You are given 4 weeks at $400 to get things going, and after that it's whatever you make seeing clients. Since they're not credentialed yet, they're trying to use the developmentally disabled clients as guinea pigs. I was told to see a client that any therapist would know is not going to benefit from therapy due to their severe brain damage. But unfortunately, there are no therapists there yet, so no one really knows what to do. There was clearly not enough planning done when this company decided to open an office in Columbus, Ohio. Whether it was the person chosen to run it or the management, it's a mess. Make sure you have another job as a back-up if you take this one, because 4 weeks goes by quickly when they are only pooling people from PALS. Finally, the director will most likely be in and out of town, so you're pretty much on your own. So unless you find clients on your own (which she days she has to make a presentation to but she's never in town or too busy), good luck getting 10 developmentally disabled clients who have the IQ and ability to even comprehend and benefit from counseling.

    Advice to Management

Get a director from Columbus who knows his/her way around Columbus and the systems involved, probably a therapist, not an administration person. The current person has no idea what she is doing with regard to starting a company like this.

I worked at Chrysalis Health full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I really enjoyed working with the clients, establishing a great relationship, and seeing them succeed.

    Cons

Very unethical and negligent leadership, very disorganized. they don't believe in quality of care. They only want numbers. It is literally a factory. Reward for providing inefficient care just quick and dirty and they punish the providers that provide quality of care.

    Advice to Management

WOW! Don't know where to start. Too many actions there that are unethical and negligent and desperation for money. Inappropriate for client needs. Good Luck when the clients go on and are the school shooters because 5-10 minutes is not enough to do everything at their visits to provide the services they REALLY need.

I worked at Chrysalis Health (More than a year)

    Pros

Great training/supervision/structure. Amazing staff. Overall depend my knowledge as an MHC and learned the ins and outs of social system.

    Cons

There are few positions that pay well (in house). If you are looking to work in the field with a heavy case load this is the job for you. It is exacting and that demand perfection

    Advice to Management

Relax a little on the staff.
