I have been working at Chubb full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Work downtown in old city on 6th and walnut. Decent amount of compensation and benefits for your work if you're at a low or high level position. If you want minimal responsibility and still get paid decently, work here. But dont volunteer or attempt to do more than the bare minimum... you will be taken advantage of and then be told youre lazy and lack dedication when your manager tires to overload your work schedule.

    Cons

Incredibly poor work culture. No respect from senior management, unrealistic expectations of responsibilities and timelines, lack of resources to accomplish basic daily tasks (horrendous IT infrastructure) and no personal accountability. Intermediate level position such as senior analysts are under compensated and there is no career development structure so that you know what skills and competencies you need to reach the next level.

    Advice to Management

Stop treating everyone below financial reporting managers as expendable commodities

I have been working at Chubb full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The flexibility of working from home is helpful

    Cons

The workload is unmanageable and is a set up for failure. Pay is not nearly what it should be for the amount of work that is done, and upper management doesn't make an effort to keep valuable and experienced employees. Particularly since the acquisition there is more of a feeling of being disposable and less that Chubb cares to invest in people who have invested a lot into their work. It's all about results.

    Advice to Management

When making decisions that would impact the day to day work of underwriters, it would be beneficial to get their input. So many decisions are made at the top that don't make sense or are inefficient in practice. Pay your employees adequately for the work they do and even more importantly hire the right number of people instead of giving unreasonable workloads to people and further creating a negative work environment.

Care about the growth and profit. Big p&c company. Global Network . Aggressive attitude
    Why 20words for pro
Can not think out any pros

    Cons

Nepotistic. Legacy Chubb 4.5-5 stars. New Chubb 2-3 stars. You can see legacy ACE is a 2 something company. The culture of Chubb, the elegancy and technical have gone.

    Advice to Management

    Your employees are not machines

I have been working at Chubb full-time

    Pros

    Large company with many positions

    Cons

Ever since Chubb was merged they have become a revolving door of workers. They like to work employees to point of burn out then replace them with no loyalty. Very different from the way "old Chubb" used to operate.

    Advice to Management

You cannot replace knowledgeable employees who know how to support the systems with consultants that have no knowledge and expect the same level of service. You can expect employees to be loyal with 0% loyalty returned

    Pros

Flexible work schedules . Coworkers are very helpful. Good place to enter the insurance industry before you move elsewhere.

    Cons

Limited career growth. Pay sucks. You do way more than the title eludes. The culture has deteriorated in the last two years.

    Advice to Management

Replace management staff in Dallas CPC and Start over. You're losing too many good people.
