I have been working at Chubb as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Friendly environment and not a very stressful job. Employees helped me get situated and there were many off hour events.

    Cons

No PTO as an intern, closing months and end tear assignments required overtime. Recently had a merger so people were leaving the company.

I worked at Chubb full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Work from home was great, you meet some nice people.

    Cons

Very immature unprofessional group of people. HR & upper management know the trouble makers but completely overlook it.

    Advice to Management

Supervisors/management are there to groom and teach their new hires. Not encourage division and fighting. We are not hired to be best friends, we were hired to get the job done together, feelings aside. Promote teamwork and building rather than division.

I worked at Chubb as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

People for the most part very friendly and helpful. Flexible start time. Great office environment. Pay seems comparable to other organizations

    Cons

Very hectic at times with some very tight deadlines causing potential for long hours.. Open environment office set up. Some may find this a Pro.

    Advice to Management

Should be more readily available for required input during "crunch times" to meet deadlines. Not enough consideration given to departmental deadlines.

I have been working at Chubb full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The People there are great and if you have worked there for a while, you have great friends and people who will look out for you. We also have a great depth of products and are capable of writing anything and it's easy to communicate with any department to cross sell.

    Cons

Expect to work really hard and your salary will be much less than industry norm. They are trying to do more with less people post acquisition and we are being stretched very thin. The benefits are terrible and you can never get ahold of HR to get things resolved

    Advice to Management

Stop scheduling so many meetings and actually help your underwriters review risks and get work done
