I worked at Chubb full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

While employed at Chubb for 9 years, it was a family oriented company that believed in promoting within, coaching and pushing their employees to succeed. Flexible, work like balance android pay,

    Cons

As like much of corporate America every office and/or department is different. At times, you may have management that does not take a stronger interest in listening to the views of their teams. However, sometimes, there are team members that do not have the best interest in the company either. It's all about attitude and outlook.

I worked at Chubb (Less than a year)

    Pros

Chubb has great management, structure, and direction. If they offered me a full-time position I would have taken it.

    Cons

There were really no downsides. I liked the job a lot, I just was not full-time. Plus parking was not free.

    Pros

Pay scale is good. Advancement opportunities are good.

    Cons

Benefits are just OK. Loyalty to employees is poor. Team Culture is poor; every man for themselves.

    Advice to Management

Treat the people more like people and not like robots.

    Pros

Good place to start my career. Potential for advancement if you apply yourself-just like any job. Would recommend this a company to work for

    Cons

Not many that I can think of. The company has had a lot if changes so there were growing pains.

I worked at Chubb full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I started my career at Chubb as a Finance trainee and enjoyed my time there - was able to learn a lot in a short amount of time.

    Cons

-not much growth potential - you have to wait for someone to leave
-after the merger with Ace, culture changes were negative

    Advice to Management

Create more opportunities for young professionals to grow within the organization

I have been working at Chubb full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

One of the better underwriting shops to be at. More focused and determiend. There is definitely room to grow, very large company now.

    Cons

With the merger there is a lot of uncertainty to how things will look going forward. People aren't scared to lose their jobs necessarily, just not sure how reporting/management will look in 6-12 months. Very large company, not as quick moving/entrepreneurial feeling as smaller insurers or even ACE prior to the merger.

    Advice to Management

Less 9-5 corporate feel, listen to the corporate culture officer and allow more flexibility with work from home.
