Lower base salary, does not move employees around enough (which hinders professional development), does not allow people to work from home, only able to get promoted at higher levels if someone leaves or there is an acquisition

    Pros

    Coworkers were great.
    401k match was adequate.
Profit sharing really boosted 401k annually.
Overall enjoyed my time working in the plant

    Cons

Immediate supervisor did not understand operation which was a burden to the entire department.
Management at the plant did not seem to be very aware of needs and function or dysfunction within departments.

    Advice to Management

Listen to employees more closely. Do something about lack of accountability instead of just talking about it. Exit interview was a pointless exercise.

I have been working at Church & Dwight (More than a year)

    Pros

Great experience, you end up learning more than your job details as you end up doing more than your job entails. You deal with so many different facets of the business that you really get a good understanding of how the business works.

    Cons

The pay is not as competitive as it should be. Employees sometimes feel as though it is hard to continue to move up to higher positions. They have been reducing benefits and perks over the past couple years.

    Pros

Employees are encouraged to be themselves and feel supported. Strong performers are rewarded. The organization cares about the community. Lots of exposure to senior leaders.

    Cons

Growing pains associated with a small company rapidly growing. People are rarely let go, which is good on some levels, but can be challenging when under-performers are not moved out of management positions

Good compensation and benefits packages. Hours are standard for the most part. Potential to make much more than your base salary.
