    I worked at Ciber full-time

    Pros

Work from home......and that's about it.

    Cons

Empty office. No culture. No people. I was paid literally to do the same stuff every day. But somehow, my role was considered "the glue" and was what "held the team together". I almost never saw anybody. I was alone. I was lonely. I was bored. It got to the point where, I didn't even feel like I was working for a company. It felt like I was a mannequin-like robot sitting in a big empty office. I hated it. Even though the rest of my team we're remote and all over the states, I just felt so lifeless. I was losing all the skills and knowledge that I worked so hard to get. No challenges. Same crap everyday. Sales team sucked. Recruiters sucked. Executives had all the money and kept demanding that we do better. Sigh. This company was just so awful. I left before I got laid off because I saw it all happen. One by one my whole team was gone. Only those that had it in good and have been there for a long time and that were all "buddy buddy" were saved.

    Advice to Management

Nothing. C-section executives drove it to the ground, took all the money and left. Now they got bought.

    Pros

The people are definitely the best thing about this company. It's hard to find a company where you enjoy everyone that you are working with as well as the work you are doing.

    Cons

The ceo and upper management just sabotaged this company from the beginning. boustridge has absolutely NO clue what he is doing. Look at the history of the stock price and it is just sad what he has done to this great company in such a short amount of time. Was this deliberate? This company ground in just under $1 billion per year right before he became ceo. Less that 4 years later it sold for $93 million. #winner right?
We also seriously blame the board of directors for keeping this idiot in place. Each meeting we were expecting them to toss him but they didn't. Why? Does he have something on some of you? Why did you let this continue to happen.

So during his time he has cost 1000's of jobs plus $100's of millions plus for of losses to stockholders. Again, #winner

I hope no other company is foolish enough to take him on as ceo. If you do then you deserver to fail.

    Advice to Management

    See my cons....enough said.

I have been working at Ciber full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Very work-life balance friendly. Great people. Watching upper management wreck this company was one of the best educations I have ever had.

    Cons

Robber Barrons got hold of things, ignored Ciber's proven business approaches, and Ciber went bankrupt.

    Advice to Management

Top management never learned to understand the depth of what Ciber was, and missed opportunity after opportunity to harness the best practices and inertia established in previous decades. They lost their focus on the right fundamentals, and lost the company.

I have been working at Ciber full-time

    Pros

I have great co-workers and truly enjoy the day-to-day activities of my job.

    Cons

In 3 years, the CEO, CAO and the Board of Directors drove Ciber from a debt-free company with near billion dollar revenue stream to Chapter 11 bankruptcy by 1) hiring unqualified friends into executive roles 2) making grossly incompetent and costly investment decisions and 3) spending lavishly on themselves, friends and family and expensing the costs through the company.

    Advice to Management

You've bankrupted a 40 year old company within 3 years while enriching yourselves to the maximum extent possible. You have no moral fiber.

    Pros

The people are the best part of Ciber. Many have been with the company for 15 or more years. Great co-workers.

    Cons

The CEO has no idea what he is doing. He took a took with nearly a billion in revenue and no debt and in less than 3 years had to declare bankruptcy.

    Advice to Management

It doesn't matter since the company was sold today completing the destruction of s great company.
