The company is small enough so that if you are motivated and want to have a lot of impact in the direction the organization is headed, you can. but it's big enough that you have a great brand that supports you in the work that you do.
Needs more cohesion between different regions.

The marketing team seemed to be on the come up with the hiring of new personnel and a strengthened effort to raise visibility within the market
Some really nice area directors
management meant well; however, micromanagement prevailed; commission structure is lacking. Most workshops and trainings focused around the consulting and technical aspects of the company. Groomed to believe that Cigital is the premier software security company within the space, with little or no explanation as to why. This is somewhat subjective and should be clarified as a self touted commendation.
There were a lot of meetings that held no intrinsic value for the sales team. There are some great thought people at Cigital but it adds no value for the sales team to hear presentations on completely niche technical aspects of the consulting side of the business
Advice to Management
Allow salespeople to engage in alternate methods of lead generation and production. The proliferation of ideas methodologies is how lead generation can evolve for the better. Numbers look good, but there was a lot of over projection from all levels of the sales team on a month to month basis. More senior sales individuals should be open to and engage with entry level sales team (which a few definitely did provide a pathway) as opposed to wanting to be seen with an inflated ego and someone to be feared.
