I worked at Cigna full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Cigna is an excellent place to work if you are comfortable in a fast paced environment. I was with them for almost 10 years and I feel that they were really good to me. They paid for my degree, allowed work/life balance when it was really important, taught me skills I would not have otherwise had, and became a family to me. I would recommend Cigna to anyone looking for a solid place to build a career. The opportunities are what you make of them.

    Cons

When moving through the ranks, the pay is less than average, but if you get hired from the outside it is competitive.

    Advice to Management

Pay the folks that have the knowledge and loyalty.

I worked at Cigna full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great people, strong leadership, good work/life balance

    Cons

Can be heavy travel to grow with company

    Advice to Management

Overall, there are a lot of great leaders. The company started to shift to hiring heavily from consulting companies or CT-based companies (ex. The Hartford) and there was a shift in the working environment, but this was based on the division within which you worked. Executive leadership is strong and open.
