They told us on a Monday morning to dial in on a team bridge call on Thursday, when we dialed in we were informed that we were all terminated - this was suddenly and without warning.

I worked at Cigna full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great for FTEs. Flexible hours. Good opportunities. Good projects and career is lined up for the employees. They have some good managers who really acknowledge good talent

    Cons

Company culture and values are not good towards contrators. No recognition for work done. No good opportunities. Cannot even access onsite gym. No flexible hours.

    Advice to Management

Might be worth to give some thought on how to improve contractor satisfaction within company as end of the day they are equal contributors. Few ways are
    Access to gym
    Flexible hours.
Equal recognition for any team awards and accolades

I had a wonderful time working for this company especially a productive relationship with the team members.

    Cons

I was only contracted for four months; therefore, I really did not have the opportunity to access the overall operations of this unit.

I worked at Cigna as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

There was definitely a good work-life balance when I worked there. Granted, I was just an intern, but I never felt like those around me were too stressed out with working very much off normal hours.

    Cons

A ton of bureaucracy as is expected of an organization of this size. Most people that I know had to wait 3 weeks before getting developer rights to do any actual developer work on their machines.
