    Pros

    CBT has amazing opportunities for its employees. I started from an entry level position and recently have been involved with our national expansion efforts. There are several new career opportunities on the horizon! We are big enough to make an impact, but small enough that we don't have the rigid Corporate America environment. If I need to talk to Jack, Brian or Gary, it is an email away. That is the amazing thing about this company. CBT cares for its employees and us employees all care for the business. It is a great environment.

    Cons

    I would not say there are any downsides of working for Cincinnati Bell, only some obstacles. We are a regional provider which can be one strike against us in the national arena, BUT our people are the differentiator and the businesses we work with see and understand that. You have to be 100% dedicated to making Cincinnati Bell the best option on the market, and the company rewards our employees for doing that.

    Advice to Management

    Keep it up! We have a great story and there is a lot more success waiting for us in the future. Go CBT!!!!! :)

    Advice to Management

    Specialize the fiber technicians like the copper technicians. At the moment we can all do a little bit of everything but nothing to perfection. With specializations it would allow us to master one section, and thus provide higher quality service.

    The products and services provided by CBT is quality. The customer service is top notch.

    The help desk consultants position was off shore to Mahaki, Philippines.

    Pros

    Awesome place to work. Management is great at supporting your decisions and coaching their employees for a successful career path within the company, whether it is in a different department or a higher up position in your current department. They truly want you to be in a position that you want to be in. The employees there are one big family, which makes it much more enjoyable to spend your days at work & being productive. Loving your job plays a huge role in success. Also, Ted is a great CEO. He makes it a priority to meet frequently with employees in each department and always asks for feedback and suggestions. Love this place!

    Cons

    The only con I can think of is vacation requests are tricky, but I think that is in any retail position.

    I do not have any negative things to say about the company. The job has been great.

    Keep up the good work. Good luck in the transition of the wireless traffic. I hope you are able to get more door swings in the retail stores.

    Pros

    Cincinnati Bell is growing rapidly with the Fioptics rollout. They are investing in both their product and their people to increase their satisfaction rate. There are many perks with a job here like: 401k match, Tuition Reimbursement, Fantastic Health insurance (including Dental and Vision), Great Office Location Downtown, Leadership and other Business classes offered to employees, and Good PTO.

    Cons

    You are working for a corporation which means that there still can be a top down approach at times. This is something that they are working to improve upon though which excites me.

    Advice to Management

    Allow the employees a way to really share their thoughts. There are definitely ways we can improve the way sales are completed, technician visits are done, and how customer service is handled.

    Pros

    Great company. Good benefits. Decent pay. Do your job well and its almost like working for yourself.

    Cons

    Personally I don't see any cons. This position requires some overtime and working in all weather conditions. Some employees gripe about these two things but it is a requirement that you are aware of before being hired. If you don't like these conditions don't apply or accept the job.

    Advice to Management

    Less micromanagement.
