    I worked at CineBistro part-time

    Pros

It was a great job. Great staff also. Good pay for a college student.

    Cons

During slow seasons there aren't as many hours to go around, so you make less money due to shorter hours.

    Advice to Management

Be relatable and nice and sociable and FAIR. You should want your employees to like you, not hate you.

I have been working at CineBistro full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Only job I've ever enjoyed coming to, Tip pooled, but Graded on ABC scale every week collectively by managers who take into consideration the other servers opinions, three C's in a row = termination, aka your not sharing your tips with someone who doesn't work hard for very long, We all feel like a little family, half off food, free movies for you and a guest once a week, free pre-screening of popular movies before... they come out, Serving is great! Walk out with about 3-400$ per weekend! People have also moved up very quickly. Within a month there have been at least 5-6 people training for promotions!

    Cons

There is a part of the serving job called Quality Checking. Personally, i think this job should go to the new people every time, as a way to earn your way up to server, serving is perfect because you have such little time with the guest due to the nature of Cinebistro, but quality checking is the only part i dislike. Its necessary, but basically you go around and make sure everyone is doing ok and everything came... out perfect. Aka you deal with everyone else's mistakes and upset guests. Unfortunately, most guests who are happy with their meal/service just want you to go away so they can watch the movie, so you don't get much praise with this part of the job, you just hear a lot of people complain, and unfortunately it rubs off on you by the end of the night. BUT ITS STILL WORTH IT BEST JOB EVER ! Also, Bistro=Life. Be prepared for long days! Your coworkers will be your new best friends, because they understand your hectic schedule, and how it works around movie times, not like a regular serving job. So make friends with your coworkers, and go get drinks after or something !

    Advice to Management

Management here is great! The only issue is that of miscommunication. It is a fairly large establishment and because of that, everyone is running around doing what they need to be doing, so if you have a question for management and go to one manager and get a yes, another manager may see whatever you're doing and be like hell no. Its not too big of a problem, but it'd be better if everyone was on the same page. This... is understandable considering its a new place!

I have been working at CineBistro full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great money if you don't try to give up shifts and take cuts all the time. Management rewards the better/harder workers with the better shifts.

    Cons

Works pretty much every weekend and holiday and it is hard to get time off during normal vacation times due to these being popular movie release times. Benefits mainly consisted of free movies, popcorn, and soda.

    Advice to Management

Get better equipment for the server staff.

Former Employee - Bartender in Atlanta, GA
    Positive Outlook

I worked at CineBistro full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Price points are high therefore average tips are better. Atlanta location was easy peasy overall

    Cons

Internal discord among corporate, company is very corporate and does not allow colored nails or hair or expressions of individuality. Very disappointing there. Also-management is not very good at their job here.

    Advice to Management

    COMMUNICATE and delegate.

    Neutral Outlook

I worked at CineBistro part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Nice perks: free movie tickets and bowling/pool at the Hampton location, 50% discount off food, etc, access to private screenings before the movies were out to the public

    Cons

It gets really busy at some points of the day and a lot of the people hired had no experience whatsoever in the field and were not so great at customer service tasks. The general manager at the time didn't seem like he really cared and it reflected on the other managers.

    Advice to Management

Stop hiring so many people and then slashing the schedule for people who actually enjoy working. Listen to your employees when they say that want better opportunities within the location.
