I have been working at Cintas full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Great camaraderie on the sales team
    - Compensation plan is fair (as long as you have a strong territory)
    - Good benefits package/ car package
    - Great sales training program

    Cons

    - Difficult to hit weekly sales expectations if you have a territory with few prospects
    - Little to no sales leads for rural/small territory
    - Hard to sell on value when people can create these facility programs themselves for less money
    - Very conservative, don't like "out-of-the-box" ideas
    - Have to enter every little activity in the CRM

    Advice to Management

Divide up territories fairly; one rep should not have all the fruitful zip codes while the other reps are stuck in rural territories with few prospects and leads.

    Pros

    Hours were great
    Amazing co workers
    Different ways to make money

    Cons

Management is more about the numbers than actual work
Get penalized for being a hard and fast worker
Don't go by the book you have no chance of moving up
Say customer is first but don't mind charging for things regardless

I have been working at Cintas full-time

    Pros

    Great culture, decent base pay

    Cons

Expected to do a significant amount of work outside of business hours. 8-5 in the field then all paperwork and additional training after initial hire date is to be done before or after business hours. If you have a family or value your free time this may not be the company for you.

    Advice to Management

Money isn't everything, expectations of using out dated, non-efficient systems to submit new accounts outside of business hours is too high.

    Pros

    4 day work week.

    Cons

Very mentally and demanding job. Atleast at the location I was at.

    Advice to Management

Have a suggestion box and actually listen to some of the SSRs. Give quality raises commensurate to work performed.

I worked at Cintas full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Decent benefits, mostly friendly coworkers, 4 days a week for SSRs, lots of room to grow and be promoted. Safe place to work. If you are very competitive and don't mind blue collar work, this is good spot to land.

    Cons

Cold corporate mentality, yet lots of KoolAid. Service management is a boy's club, can be unprofessional. Most managers worked their way up with no college education, some see ambitious young people as job threats. Inner-circle is visible - the GM and 2 or 3 service managers. Politics in the workplace. Lots of aggressive alpha-dog types, prevents cohesion and diversity.

    Advice to Management

Crack down on unprofessional people. Don't let people slide just because they hit the number. If you want to keep millennial managers, loosen up and provide better work-life. Ensure your MTs get trained and not forced out by jealous managers.
