    Pros

Career Advancement opportunities for those that want to work hard.

    Cons

You have to pay the price to be great, which means sometimes way more than 40+ a week. Have to adapt to situations on the fly.

    Advice to Management

Continue to invest in R&D and technology.

    Pros

The benefits are one of the best features of employment at Cintas. My health insurance is second to none. The support for a balance between my professional life and personal life is outstanding, even though long hours are sometimes needed to get my work done. The people at my location are awesome to work with. Opportunity for advancement is great!

    Cons

Salary partners sometimes work long, long hours. The dental insurance is nothing to write home about, but still good.

    Advice to Management

Good job overall, but could use a little more people skills.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Strong company, benefits are unbelievable. 4 day work weeks. The amount of various services we provide is dazzling and impressive, and all the partners (co-workers) I've personally met are friendly and supportive. Cintas will promote from within but The Management trainee program, however, used for a lot of jobs including health and safety directors, division heads etc, don't have much OR USUALLY ANY experience in their fields. Cintas requires a 4 year degree in anything to be a management trainee, so try to work for an inside promoted manager if you can.

Employees are encouraged to run their route including scheduling with the customer and is pretty good at backing up what decisions you come up with.

Cintas has a great free employee uniform program providing even work boots and jackets.

    Cons

Company Motto is "We have a Spartan Approach". That deciphers to stingy at times. Sometimes things don't get repaired or replaced until it is broken and sometimes even dangerous. Often it seems that company meetings, sales meetings and safety meetings are all you do. It would be nice to get some work in between meetings, but that can be hard.

National policies NEVER update. Even when common sense would dictate, some old rules and regulations are not updated. Even in very hot climates employees are not allowed to wear shorts becuase our some of our customers employees didn't used to have that option. We could actually make the shorts to Cintas specs since ALL employee apparel must be provided by Cintas to be in compliance. The same happens in the cold, and rain. You can be written up for wearing a raincoat, but CINTAS will not provide one for you.

Salespeople are also driven hard and often oversell just to get the numbers up, then the Service Rep has to take the brunt of angry customers when they realize they are getting service more freqeuntly or excessively than they really need.

    Advice to Management

Use your more experienced employees better. You may outrank some of them, but they have a world of experience and abilities that could prove useful. Don't be dismissive of them simply because they are under you on the corporate ladder.

    Pros

good for career growth and experience to be able to move up the hierarchy with the company, or to find another job if you find that the shift supervisors have favoritism towards other partners.

    Cons

being in shifts that might not work with your own schedule. the fact that you are not allowed to work overtime even if its to help remain on schedule moving the products or wash loads do to a management mistake is senseless.

    Advice to Management

to let employees show some of their own personality. especially those on the production lines, it does not hurt to let employees show personality thru the way they have their hair, or facial hair.

    Pros

The company is one of the best in the world. It's the immediate management and location that seems to have issues or not.

    Cons

Pay plan changes too often and without advance notice.

    Advice to Management

Pick better sales managers. Sales managers who sucked as sales people have no business being promoted, but yet that is exactly what happens. Include families more in events. I cannot stress sales managers enough. I've seen many who are lazy. Pure lazy. Or tyrannical. Manager should have at least been presidents club consistently. Not one account that they got lucky with. Diamond level would be preferable.
