I have been working at Circle K full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

My store manager works with me on my schedule so that it doesn't interfere with my other job. I love to work with people so I consider this a pro

    Cons

Low pay, only one person working at the store which means that you have to do EVERYTHING, keep cooler and shelves stocked, store and bathrooms clean, maintain the grill, (to name a FEW of your expected duties) all while waiting on customers at a very busy store

    Advice to Management

increase pay and you wouldn't have such a high turnover

I have been working at Circle K full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The company has a lot of great ideas. Once they all start to trickle down the ladder it will be good for everyone.

    Cons

Until the company solidifies (re-branding issues with newly acquired stores) there's a lot of bugs to work out. Communication between departments is a little slack.

I have been working at Circle K full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Awesome people to work with. I have the best store manager and store assistant. My market manager is a very sincere person and takes the time to know your name and talk with you and remembers. The greatest words to hear from your management is Thank you. It keeps me with the company. Priceless.

    Cons

Need double coverage all shifts. Overnight should never ever have a woman or young girl by themselves. Just a matter of time until something happens. Shame.

    Advice to Management

You get what you pay for. When not a wall flower ...reward them with a raise like 50¢ an hour...which only comes to$20 a week minus taxes. At least have compatible pay with the contenders. The pay for the job really(excuse the phrase) but downright sucks. Okay for a kid but not the career folk. 40 hours a week and doesn't even hit $300 take home??

I worked at Circle K full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The majority of managers I worked with were excellent leaders, easy-going as long as you did your job. Quarterly bonuses, benefits, flexible schedule.

    Cons

Inadequate training. High turnover rate, which causes the store to be understaffed and overwork remaining employees.

    Advice to Management

Train better, and if someone does something wrong, help them improve their performance instead of just firing them.

I have been working at Circle K full-time

    Pros

Always a competition to earn extra money. If you are a yes man or woman then this is the place for you.

    Cons

Budgets are set high making meeting your full bonus difficult. They stat that people matter but fall short of backing it up. Senior management will and often does throw you under the bus.

    Advice to Management

Starting from csr you can move quickly to asm. Then the progression slows. Some time goes by before an asm can move to a sm position. Then from the sm to a market manager is mostly very difficult to obtain. A lot of hiring from outside for that position.
