I have been working at Cisco Systems full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Lots of spare time, you can pretty much do your own business. Good gym. Free dinner (at least my BU has free dinner), free snacks and fruit. Cisco daycare is the best in Bay Area (but expensive too).

    Cons

Slow promotion, miniature RSU, lack of innovation, politics, low pay compare to Google Facebook Apple Amazon same position, internal IT support sucks, no training no room to learn.

    Advice to Management

Reduce non-useful teams. For example, Whenever I go to Building 14, there are lots of people not working.

    Pros

flexible time options are great for working parents. Benefits are awesome with onsite clinic and fitness center. The site is great. Working conditions are good.

    Cons

There are so many departments and positons that is hard to keep track of who is working on what and how to contact people. Career advancement are pretty hard to get as people get fossilized into the first position they get.

I worked at Cisco Systems as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

They gave me meaningful work as a 100% unexperienced intern.

They also gave me PTO during my summer internship.

    Cons

The work I did wasn't directly related to electrical engineering nor was it necessary to know electrical engineering, but being an electrical engineer helped me understand my work.
