Not great but might get better when the mergers end

    Mar 19, 2016 - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

Cision provided great training sometimes, good pay and benefits. Flexible work schedule mostly but some people took advantage by working from home a lot. The place may get better when the dust settles but that probably won't happen for a while with all the mergers.

    Cons

The mergers harmed the culture and promoted lots more disrespect than anyone wants to handle. Lack of decisive choices from management forced us into bad spots. Change is inevitable at any company and people get that but this kind of overwhelming change makes it hard work sometimes and makes it hard to tell how long you're going to work there.

Cision is a lot of smoke and mirrors as to what type of company it actually is.

    Cision Response

Thank you for posting a review. We agree that our Cision Flex policy, and the option to WFH or in the office is a great thing for our company. It's too bad to hear that you feel micromanaged, but we would encourage you to reach out to your supervisor, another leader on your team, or your HR business partner to help you navigate the issue. Thank you

    I love it here

    Pros

I love the fast pace and the work from home. The products and services are amazing. The team is absolutely wonderful that I am on. Even though we are remote, we stay connected daily. My manager is really supportive and challenges me to grow. She sees a lot of potential in me and has let me implement a lot of new policies and procedures and is welcoming of new ideas. I can't say enough about how easy it is to talk to the leadership team and everyone is accessible. The benefits are fantastic, they start day 1 and we have unlimited PTO. I absolutely love my team and love my job.

    Cons

I work longer hours remote than if I went into the office, but there is never a day that I feel slow. I am making a difference everyday here and I couldn't be happier.

As a contractor, it is a good company to work for.

    Pros

It can give you a very flexible work style. You can work from home and plan your work life balance well. People who manage freelance analysts are easy to talk to and understanding.

    Cons

Salary is ok. As a freelancer, sometimes you may not be able to work as much as you would like to because there is not much work available.
