Incredible support team and coworkers, schedule flexibility, opportunities for growth, easy to perform well. and great work life balance
Cons
Constant change and frequent service issues making it difficult to manage your clients efficiently. A very corporate vision for the future and the company lacks the necessity to take care of their employees first. Lots of turnover

Great people/atmosphere but lots of cons
Nov 11, 2014 - Sales in Chicago, ILRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Great atmosphere with really friendly people, I made plenty of friends at Cision. Work/life balance is unbelievably great with a ton of PTO days and no long hours.
Cons
No room for growth, the company is essentially all sales people with a small management team. You're selling a mediocre software program that has constant tech issues, often leaving you to deal with many unhappy clients. Your success in sales can sometimes solely depend on luck. I saw great sales people do terrible at Cision and terrible sales people do great at Cision.

Unstable, overwhelming
Apr 29, 2022 - Marketing Department in Austin, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Working remotely Decent pay Makes effort to be diverse
Cons
Huge turnover, leadership lasts/changes every 6 months or so Management consists of micromanagers that lack empathy/ aren't mindful of the importance of work/life balance Lack of clearly defined priorities Everything is for profit , you must sell sell sell, no room for creativity Terrible health insurance, costs more but provides less coverage (you will always pay 20% of costs)

Thank you for taking the time to post a review, we appreciate your detailed feedback. We're glad to hear that you appreciated our hybrid work environment and the opportunity to work remotely, and also our focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion. We've made progress --and continue to focus--on access, representation, and belonging. As you say, this has been a time of transformation at Cision, and we know that can be difficult when you're in the midst of it. We've made a lot of progress in the past year on setting priorities, allocating the resources needed, and making sure everyone is working towards a common set of goals, and also have rolled out a new Purpose and Values to guide all those actions. We're sorry Cision wasn't the right fit for your future, and wish you all the best in your next career step.

Great opportunities to come, a lot of room for growth
Mar 9, 2015 - in Chicago, ILRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
I have been at Cision for a little under three years and have been promoted three times. There is a lot of opportunity for growth if you are performing and hitting your goals. As with any acquisition, there has been a lot of change in a short amount of time but the change has been positive and is leading our company in the right direction. I am very excited to be working for an industry leader in the space, not to mention one of the most fun companies I have ever worked for. The work life balance is phenomenal and you will definitely be rewarded for your hard work. While the environment is laid back, you are held accountable and hard work definitely noticed by management.
Cons
I am a firm believer that no organization is perfect, however there is nothing that I would determine as a "con" to working here. While I know I could probably be making more as a top performer in other sales organizations, the culture, people I work with and work life balance keep me happy at Cision. This company will absolutely be willing to discuss compensation if you are consistently performing.

Pros
Job work/life balance was good
Cons
Weak compensation has led to low morale. Management has no strategic vision.

Pros
Work hours, you leave on time. Balance work/personal life (usually you don't need to work overtime or at home).
Cons
Career progression doesn't exist. Work and tasks are pretty much the same all the time, not given the opportunity to learn new things or innovate. Management creates impossible rules for the annual worker reward (only knowed the year after). Non flexible hours (1minute delays count).
