    I worked at Citi full-time

    Pros

The bonuses, the celebrations. The management had many promotions to encourage us to perform better at our jobs and we were rewarded handsomely with being taken out to lunch and the Christmas parties were unforgettable. I worked there as a temporary employee in the mailroom for the Bankruptcy department in the summer of 1987 and was hired permanently as a bankruptcy clerk in August of 1988. If the department didn't move to Kansas City MO, I would still be working there.

    Cons

The pay was not that great and the department moved out of state.

    Advice to Management

They were great as far as reaching out to us as a company with the monthly floor meetings and the birthdays for the month along with the employee recognitions for all of the departments. I know that they may have cut back since I worked there but I would recommend that they continue with the great employee recognitions.

    Pros

The pay was good and they had company parties and events that I was invited to participate in even though I was a contractor

    Cons

There weren't enough employees to do the job that I was assigned to do, so the other mailroom clerks and I often "scrambled" to get the work done in a timely manner. Also, if the day shift staff wanted to work overtime, they would sit at their work stations, and the 2nd shift staff (of which I was one) had to find places to sit which wasn't easy.

    Advice to Management

Make sure you have enough staff members to get the job done. If one of the shifts works overtime, make them find a different place to sit so that the next shift can sit at their regular work stations.
