I worked at Citi full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The pay and benefits are good.

    Cons

Management needs improvement, huge turnover rate.

    Advice to Management

Do not land yourself into cliques. High School was yesterday and your life today should remain professional. Laughing at spit balls, bias behavior, this is for children, not management.

I have been working at Citi full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Benefits are great and the job is fairly easy as long as you have a basic customer service skills. There's also an abundance of departments to choose to work in.

    Cons

Unless you're willing to stroke egos all day you will see people that do less work than you get promoted before you. You will also notice that people who are "buddies" with management are not hel as accountable as everyone else .

    Advice to Management

Stop letting people that brown nose and don't work as hard move up over people that take pride in their work and performance.

    Pros

Always changing, always a challenge. Always a new competition. Always room for moving up.

    Cons

Managers put alot of stress on personal bankers. Compliance puts alot of stress on personal bankers.

    Advice to Management

Try to be more helpful and less hurtful.

I worked at Citi full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Benefits if you stay long enough, upward mobility in a year, bonuses on sales

    Cons

I had serious ethics concerns so I left. They tell you a 6 month learning curve to do your job perfectly but put you on the phone working with client accounts in a matter of a few weeks , telling you you are doing great while you are managing them incorrectly. The training computers do not work the same way as the real world computers so "training" is often times wasted time and ineffective.

    Advice to Management

If you want people to work well for your clients, then be available when they have concerns and questions. You need more trainers handy for OJT questions and have training systems work the same as real world systems..

I have been working at Citi full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great benefits, good compensation an bonuses (depending on the department) and an overall great manager to employee relationship

    Cons

A lot of promises of upward mobility and mobility within the company, but not entirely truthful; in customer service there are a lot of metrics and restrictions to be concerned with that are unnecessary.

    Advice to Management

Give your employees some room to breathe, more chances to actually advance or move to different departments; better communication between departments as well

    Cons

pay , to get an internal interview is too hard even when rated really good at your job, some of the workplace can get too negative.

    Advice to Management

    Pros

Discounts, work environment, a place to advance, and part of a family. I'm very happy with my career choice.

    Cons

Do not go to work here if you take slot of time off. Be prepared to work hard for a good career. Which these are not a con for myself but for others.

    Advice to Management

Only that every situation is a coachable experience.
