I worked at Citi full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The benefits were great - 401K, time-off, work-life balance, just to name a few. The management was excellent and the work environment was great. They made you feel valued at work.

    Cons

    The politics of big corporations.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your staff, most of their input comes directly from what they deal with on a daily basis.

I worked at Citi full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Huge company that gave me the flexibility to create a life / work balance. Good salary and opportunities to earn bonuses. Benefits were amazing.

I worked at Citi full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

In the more than five, less than ten years I worked there my compensation more than doubled. Company kept us throughout the recession. Was eventually laid off with the rest of the staff, but received months of notice and a lot of support through the process. Contacts at this company actually helped me get my next job. Lots of opportunities to move around and advance, very supportive culture.

    Cons

Nothing really jumps to mind. Life after Citi makes it apparent how good you had it, because no job will ever do more to take care of you than they will. Note, I was a very low ranked employee. When the people on the bottom can say that, you're doing something right.

I worked at Citi full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Citi provides a variety of employment opportunities with it's global reach. Great benefits. Direct leadership team has an understanding of the day to day operations.

    Cons

Lack of communication at times. Making major announcements without letting those that are impacted aware of the change. Changes in various established processes. If something is not broke don't try to 'fix it'.

    Cons

Very bureaucratic and difficult to navigate. Senior management not always coherent on message and lacking on strong leadership. Too many meetings that were not purposeful.
