I worked at Citi full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great people both management and employees.

    Cons

call center sitting all day long, connected to a computer. Not much room for creative intellectualism or personal achievement. Crowd mentality required.

    Advice to Management

Get your people moving. Even a mandatory daily walk or group activity, getting some fresh air. Give more individual credit and recognition.

I have been working at Citi full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Its a respected global company. Health insurance is good, they are involved with the community.

    Cons

No room for growth, not every plays by the same rules, no raises, my boss told me I could not use my sick days. Citi has the option to work remote but if you get a boss like mine that only applies to employees who have been there for many many years not newer ones even tough your entire team is mostly remote 95 - 100% remote.

    Advice to Management

Lighten up, stop trying to impose your made up rules on new employees. Help groom newer employees so they will be happy working for you. Be transparent. Don't get angry when asked questions about the company etc. Its not 1985 you should get with the times and learn that it doesn't work the way it did back then.

    Pros

    Advice to Management

Show appreciation to your employees. Reward them with pay increases & advancement opportunities.

I have been working at Citi part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Professional environment, Good pay, Good benefits, Lots of training and coaching for improvement and success

    Cons

Management was very discouraging and unaccommodating to employee's request for time off even with a 3 month notice!

    Advice to Management

Please be considerate to employee's requests! We have our family life outside of work too. The branch is ALWAYS short staffed, which is fine, we don't mind working more hours. But if manager can take half day off all the time and take all the holidays and long weekends off, we deserve the few occasions that we request to be out of office as well!
