I have been working at Citi full-time

    Pros

Takes on suggestions. Lots of room to grow. Can move career horizontally as there are lots of roles are opportunities.

    Cons

Very large organisation so lacks things like free "company drinks". Standardization is very hard because of the large size. Can move you to work in a different building

    Advice to Management

Continue listening to employees, don't micromanage, create opportunities, don't encourage poor work life balance. Have regular 1 to 1s.

I worked at Citi (Less than a year)

    Pros

A truly Global Bank, with an amazing culture that helps each employee grow individually. This place is very inspiring with intellectually stimulating environment that teaches you a lot.

    Cons

Might be intimidating at times. Difficult to find the right person for the work you need to do. It is a very adaptable environment but still because it is such a big organisation some processes could take a lot of time.

    Advice to Management

Keep the spirit and the work culture intact, it is something that makes Citi such an inspiring place. The networking events and work shadowing both were a great experience got to learn a lot so keep it going. My spring internship was one of the best experiences I have had in the UK.

I worked at Citi full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Fantastic organisation and institution. Dynamic. Competitive compensation. Fabulous career opportunities. An intelligent culture and one that is positively challenging.

    Cons

Being such a large, global company one drawback for some will be the need to work remotely with colleagues around the world, often in a matrix structure. However, many see this as an opportunity and enjoy this aspect of the environment.

    Advice to Management

Keep linking overall company imperatives to individual team members goals, and reinforce communications about the connection to make everyone in the bank understand how they are supporting the overall company.

I have been working at Citi full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very good company and very good work environment in the Internal Audit department. Salaries are good although not excellent compared to the market.

    Cons

Sometimes you feel like it's too big and humans relationships are managed poorly. There are no bonuses in Internal Audit. Career mobility is not good.

    Advice to Management

Invest more in people technical development. People is what matter the most and requires constant attention from the management.

I worked at Citi as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

The people in the TTS department are all genuinely so nice and down to earth - every employee at Citi I have met have really put the time into teaching us what the work involved, making it seem like an amazing environment to work in.

    Cons

Citi in London is extremely big and it can be pretty segregated between departments.

    Pros

The people, the can do attitude, the culture of inclusion, the ethical attitude to doing business, the challenging work environment

    Cons

The bureaucracy at times. Also sometimes there could be less committees and more decision making and ownership from support functions.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing. I have great faith in Mike Corbat's leadership strategy
