I worked at Citizens Bank (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Opportunity to learn and advance was a positive. Ability to move within divisions rather easily. Enjoyed working with the people there.

    Cons

Hours were fairly long and weekend work was fairly typical. Also, the organization was rather top heavy, which meant more work for analysts.

I have been working at Citizens Bank full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Ability to take badge of projects

    Cons

Not a lot of focus on employee retention
Major difference in comp for capital markets versus the rest of the bank

    Advice to Management

Decide on what you want the bank to be and execute a plan - cfg seems in limbo between a regional commercial bank and a full fledged investment bank (in the mold of STRH / 5/3 / PNC) but right now is neither.

I have been working at Citizens Bank full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Coming from a position where I worked at home, this is a welcome change. Team members are knowledgeable, accessible. Company policy values employee input, thinking outside the box. Now also offering a work from policy, 2 days a week.

    Cons

Coming from a position where I worked at home, it can be frustrating to be sitting at a desk 8 hrs a day.

    Pros

    There was an onsite cafeteria

    Cons

I don't need a lot of hand holding. This place, took the cake. My manager turned out to be a contract employee who absolutely hated me from the day I arrived. My guess is she was mad she didn't get to pick the candidate. After several months of being on a copy and paste detail, I submitted my resignation.
As a side note, we all got called into a departmental meeting and essentially got yelled at and treated like we were children. The person who was supposed to train me, refused to, and that was allowed.
