    Pros

    Cons

The CFG Treasury group is very male dominated with no diversity and no appetite to promote women.

    Pros

    -Great hours
    -Solid benefits
    -Not hard work
    -Fantastic work/life balance
    -Pay is alright

    Cons

-Management will lead you on with advancement
-Anonymous HR tickets will not be investigated to the fullest extent
-Blind leading the blind with management in some branches
    -Better pay in different banks

    Advice to Management

Invest more thoroughly in your people. You have a great workforce that can be built up, molded, and put to work in so many different roles. Stop stifling employees in positions that aren't right for them. I've seen too many colleagues miserable in their current role

I have been working at Citizens Bank full-time

    Pros

Decent benefits and pto, if only you didn't have to waste it every time you or your children get sick.

    Cons

In store branch hours are long, they'll lie and tell you you won't have to work longer than 8 hours a day but you will. Anyone hired before you has seniority and you're basically just the underdog that's there to cover all their pto they'll take at the worst times but if you try to take yours when it's inconvenient, you won't get it. Some will treat you badly and management will just look the other way. They'll tell you they'll work with you to make sure you have a great work/life balance. Sure, as long as you always put work first. Also training needs a reboot big time. Some of the facilitators have no clue what they're even teaching and will teach you something different and wrong daily. And last but not least, the pay isn't very good compared to competition.

    Advice to Management

Above management... Above regional? Reevaluate who you let become management. Some of them are so cruel and unprofessional.

I have been working at Citizens Bank full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I guess the people can be really nice that your work with, and there are a decent amount of locations to look into.

    Cons

The turnover is insane. The branches are constantly under staffed, making it hard to actually work in the branch. Also, the pressure on employees is a mess, it matters more to make our sales numbers than keep our sanity. They don't consider location when they throw numbers out to the branches, and don't understand why things can't get done when everything and everyone is constantly changing.

    Advice to Management

Please hire more people. And understand that yeah, we are people so please treat the employees as such.

I have been working at Citizens Bank full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Sometimes has flexible hours. The longer you've been at the company the better, but your direct management will be the most important to have your back and give push back when necessary.

    Cons

Lots and lots of cutting corners. Basic office workplace items such as chairs and water coolers are removed for maximizing of profit. Sales are heavily weighed, even though there is an incredible amount of pressure to beat an unfairly weighted "customer satisfaction" measurement system. Company looks for ways to make sales goals unattainable and therefor not pay out any bonuses or pay increases. Long time staff do not have any incentive to stay within the company. New hires are undertrained and often not the right fit for the company. Company touts to the employees in a derogatory manner about employee pay and by law provided benefits (i.e. health insurance) being "worth more" and therefor trying to shrug off potential hourly pay increases. Staff are overworked for salaries that are stagnant. Locations are understaffed, but by company standards, are "overstaffed". Company claims to be in line with industry standards for pay, health benefits, and others, but either provides no raise touting industry standard reasoning, or insulting pay increases that do not cover cost of living increases year to year or health insurance premium increases.

    Advice to Management

Your staff is your support. They portray your company to your customers on a daily basis. Give people who have proven themselves a chance to move up inside of the company. Make your staff happy and your customers will be, too. Be more cutting edge. Stop tailoring your products to people who have money and focus on building rapport across a lifetime, capturing customers and retaining them by being a good bank with good advice.

    Pros

Regular customers, pto, no sales goal as teller, 401k plan, flexible hours ( some allow -some don't), outing , nice places near branch .

    Cons

2much drama, 2 much politics, 2 much games, some branch managers just enjoy to fire people and show off there power , micro Managment and yelling in morning meeting.

    Advice to Management

Keep good branch mangers, don't listen to drama created by people trying to take over big branch.

    Pros

Professes a great culture and entrepreneurial approach. Many good people.

    Cons

Very anal management style, managers subjected to relentless pressure to produce, Old styled command and control, treacherous behind the scenes manipulation and outright negative operating environment....even if you're doing above average work.

    Advice to Management

Read Sybil...stop being two faced and duplicitous to your employees.

    Pros

-Flexible work schedules, but long hours. Depends completely on where you work and what your job is
    -Great, talented people

    Cons

Poor management on many levels. Since going public, too much focus on building shareholder value, often at the expense of the customer.

    Advice to Management

Stop wasting money on consultants and bringing in people from the outside. There are plenty of smart people here that know what they're doing. Solicit and listen to your existing staff!!
