    Pros

Great benefits, stock purchase option and ability to grow. They care about the opinion of us colleagues and actually make changes based upon our feedback.

    Cons

Turnover is tough, but not different from any other retail sales job. The turnover makes it difficult to have fully staffed regions. Even if your branch is fully staffed there's almost zero chance the region is, in turn makes you cover other branches and shorten your own staff.

    Advice to Management

I think that the management is doing a good job. Possibly limit many changes at the same time. We are all for new and improved products and processes but at times can be overbearing.

    Cons

High stress, high turnover, policy driven, sales obsessed, culturally confused, prone to technology substitution and outsourcing, highly regulated, profit defunct

    Advice to Management

    Pros

Licensing paid for, Continuing education and opportunities are vast. Show you are a top colleague through sales results and you will gain consideration for promotion and other opportunities. Company has just gone public and is in a P&L mindset where profitable employees will be valued.

    Cons

This employer is for those who are willing to sacrifice some personal life. Many Saturday's necessary and Licensing is self-study from home.

    Advice to Management

Don't be ruled by cutting out as much cost as possible. Some expenses have large benefits.

    Pros

Amazing company culture - Upper management is great, co-workers become like family. I was extremely happy working for Citizens. They offered me more than what I asked for when it came to negotiate a salary and were very flexible with scheduling. As long as your ready to give it your all and look at your obstacles as an opportunity for growth the sky is the limit. You never stop learning at Citizens. We work hard and after a job well done making sure our customers are completely satisfied the company rewards you with company gift cards called "credo-awards" - Anyone who works in retail banking knows it all really depends on what branch/region you work for & I was lucky to be in the Boston area.

    Cons

Staffing turn-over, scheduling lunch breaks, teller/banker computer systems outdated, teller technology outdated, ATMS need upgrading

    Advice to Management

Bring back debit cards at account opening & make sure they are contactless :)

I have been working at Citizens Bank full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Decent salary, great coworkers. The company will invest their time in you if you show the effort and the drive.

    Cons

The hours could be better when you work at an in-store branch. Long days on your feet but you get used to it after awhile.

    Advice to Management

Sometimes the managers could show a bit more compassion towards their employees. Things do happen out of people's control sometimes and it's off putting when you feel judged for genuinely getting sick.

I have been working at Citizens Bank full-time

    Pros

    I love my job!
    - Pay is decent and fair
    - Mgmt really care about your growth and development
    - there's a lot of opportunities if you are willing to work hard and give your best, if not, this is not the place for you
    -True passionate colleagues
-Management is competent and cares about its staff

    Cons

The bank is constantly downsizing and this puts a unnecessary pressure on the colleagues.
Favoritism is a little ridiculous over here.

    Advice to Management

Continue caring about your colleagues, specially the good ones, and what's important to them in order to retain them. Give raises and feedback (even constructive comments) to motivate people. Additionally, give everyone the option to work in a venue closer to home if this is an option. Some people have more privileges and others don't.
