The customers are the best part of the job. Working one on one with the people and really helping them out was the highlight of the job.
No matter how much they say it's about the customer, it's really about the sales. If you don't meet your (unrealistic) goals for more than two quarters, you are fired. It doesn't matter if the customers love you and you provide the best customer service out there; not enough sales = no job. It doesn't even matter if it's something the customer wants or needs, like a savings account or another credit card, just sell, sell, sell!
Advice to Management
Truly focus on your employees and customers. This is why Credit Unions are so much better than banks because it's not about profit, it's about people. If you treat them right and truly care, the sales will come. You'll see long-time employees and not the huge turnover rates like you have now.
