I have been working at Citizens Bank full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The company is very employee centric -- great benefits, fair pay, and a very respectful work environment. Citizens has afforded me many different opportunities to grow my skills and hold various positions. It's a friendly and oftentimes fun environment where coworkers are always willing to lend a hand.

    Cons

Pay is not top of market, but it is fair.

    Advice to Management

Keep listening to employees as you have been doing!

I have been working at Citizens Bank full-time

    Pros

Pay, Benefits, Consistentency, Variable pay scale. Helpful Boss.

    Cons

Sometimes understaffed, but when fully staffed the day going by smoothly.

    Advice to Management

More training is needed in the beginning. More compliance training and business account set up needs to be improved.

    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Citizens Bank full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Employees are allowed more flexibility for activities during workday, encouraged to be productive, and are given extra freedom for effort. Compared to other banks, employees can feel much safer and actually receive the help they ask for.

    Cons

Micromanagement policies do not address the true problems employees are facing. NOT a complaint about meetings and micromanagement in most cases, but more that management framing was incorrect.

    Advice to Management

REALLY, REALLY, REALLY focus on the colleagues who are inspired. I lost enthusiasm because I lost praise from upper management. My needs and ambitions seemed to fall to the wayside, which made me feel insignificant.

I have been working at Citizens Bank full-time

    Pros

Excellent career growth opportunities, a management team that coaches and leads vs micromanages, comparable pay, flexible work-from-home options

    Cons

The company could do better in terms of offering employee shares and implement a bonus structure for those without a VP title.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing. The transparency and coaching of your employees is what will help maintain longevity in your workforce.

I worked at Citizens Bank (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Opportunity to learn and advance was a positive. Ability to move within divisions rather easily. Enjoyed working with the people there.

    Cons

Hours were fairly long and weekend work was fairly typical. Also, the organization was rather top heavy, which meant more work for analysts.

    Pros

Open to change; great managers who show recognition for job well done; love the people

    Cons

;work insane hours, understaffed yet always looking to find ways to cut costs and staff, say they want us to focus on what is important yet keep asking for reports that aren't a value add, salary increases are just about non-existent, technology is ancient

    Advice to Management

Continue to invest in technology improvements and manager training; while we should always review whether what we doing is neccesary and being done in the most efficient manner this contant focus on reducing is draining and you have to realize that we just can't continue to work the hours that we are making. as much as many of us love our jobs and the people we work with, we are burning out. Can only imagine that this will lead to turnover and mistakes
