I have been working at Citizens Bank full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Customer service expectations are extremely high. Company is always trying to improve. Not a huge amount of micromanaging depending on management.

    Cons

    High turnover
Always changing incentive system, which is not good.
Constant changes within policies and procedures on a daily basis.

    Advice to Management

Promote from within with people that are eager to learn instead of someone off the street trying to bounce from position to position.

I worked at Citizens Bank full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They offer a nice range of products, many leads will come from branches, nice people in the branches for the most part

    Cons

Instead of spending time on production you are bogged down with meetings and conference calls.

You can work as hard as possible and get nowhere. Ops is a joke and closings were painful...EVERY time. My time there was a horrible experience for my customers, my partners and myself.

    Advice to Management

Stop micromanaging and let producers produce. Work on efficiency and competency within operations.

    Pros

Good company to work for great learning and educational experience. Had to ability to grow and gain immeasurable experience. There's room for growth and professional development. They offer Great benefits, take very good care of their employees.

    Cons

Not central enough to my core goals. Although I gained invaluable experience with
Citizens, I felt it was time for me to move in a different direction . I wanted to branch out and try other aspects of the industry.

I have been working at Citizens Bank part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Great colleagues to work with

    Cons

Instore bankers generally have no life besides working 7 days a week

Poor turnover means low amount of staff

RM just wants to make himself look good so continues to push for more sales every quarter.
When you want to speak to management they continue to dodge your request

Bonus structured so you lose a lot in taxes. They add it to one of your weekly checks instead of separating the two.

    Advice to Management

When a branch asks for more employees that means get more employees don't expect 3 people without a BM to run the branch and get top sales.

I have been working at Citizens Bank full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Customers are great. Decent pay and shorter shifts on weekends. Good pto and bank holidays.

    Cons

Working in store you work longer shifts, but you rarely get a break. 10.5 hour shifts and no lunch breaks you can only eat when you can. Branches are constantly short staffed, working 6 days a week is common.

    Advice to Management

Branches need to have better staffing. Also there is a lot of training that happens at the beginning of employment, but not much on every day functions. It's a learn as you go process.
