I have been working at Citrix (More than a year)

    Pros

I have worked in bad companies in the past and I can attest that Citrix is easily one of the best company in the world. Pays very well, Company goes to extra mile to ensure you are accommodated and taken care off. Of course a lot depends on your manager and all of my managers have been nothing but exemplary. Another aspect of the company that impressed me the most is the investment in your growth. If you have the drive, Citrix will help you excel. On top of that they are not cheap, great phone benefits, travel benefits and school tuition assistance to name a few.

    Cons

So far I did not find anything bad about this company. If I am stretched I would say may be lack of assigned space to employees in fort lauderdale 4th floor, but thats just me. A lot of employees like the open office space.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what ever you are doing. Great products, great management style and keep excelling.

I have been working at Citrix full-time

    Pros

Great culture, benefits, majority of the people are amazing individuals.

    Cons

So many cons at this point, company needs to regain focus. Also, needs money.

    Advice to Management

Stop lying to everyone - preach transparency but never execute?

I have been working at Citrix full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Interesting work and challenges, wonderful colleagues and immediate management. Healthy culture with “work from anywhere” options that are actually supported.

    Cons

Recent shifts in senior leadership make for an uneasy feeling throughout the organization. Overall seem to be good decisions in restructuring.

    Advice to Management

    I worked at Citrix full-time

    Pros

Good pay, good benefits. Got to be involved with a broad range of projects

    Cons

Seems like the company went from focusing on the technology to focusing on stock price (magic number of growth + op margin >= 40). It used to be to do what's right and the stock will take care of itself. Now, it's all about cost cutting.

    Advice to Management

Get back to the core values and principles. Get rid of the vultures

    I worked at Citrix full-time

    Pros

Standard benefits that come from a corporate company (401k pto etc etc)

    Cons

Corporate politics trickled down to even the lowest of employees. Constant restructuring, layoffs, selling off of divisions

I have been working at Citrix full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    - Decent pay, decent benefits

    Cons

    - Constant management reshuffling last several years
    - Constantly changing direction and focus
    - Elliott Management and their vultures has the company by the throat
    - Leadership has no innovative vision like MarkT had
    - Layoff after layoff
    - This last time they got rid of many crucial, key people needed for their current stated focus (move to cloud). Then in the ashes, IT / Security still has NO restructured plan in place. Many people left in the dark with no idea what they will be doing.

    Advice to Management

    - Grow a pair and stand up to Elliott
    - Enough with the knee-jerk reactions to shareholder value every quarter; look at the bigger, longer term picture
    - You put an ego-maniac in charge of IT/Security

I worked at Citrix full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Decent pay, work from home options, decent training. respected products in the industry.

    Cons

Constant turnover, very clicky, backstabbing, public shaming in QBR's, but unfortunately this is expected in most sales roles, but Citrix takes it to a new level. Exhausting Salesforce cadence is required. Employees stay for the pay but virtually no one is happy there. Take a job there if you need it, but never stop looking for your next role. Chance are good you will want to leave shortly after joining. Layoffs aren't too common but rumors of a sale are always there, so stability is something else to be considered.

    Advice to Management

There is a reason turnover is so high. Take a step back and evaluate the atmosphere you've created. It seems to be OK in some parts of the country but in the Northeast, it's toxic.
