I have been working at Citrix full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Best place I've ever had the chance to grow my career - entrepreneurial spirit with big-company talent and infrastructure. Employees with ideas are encouraged to bring those ideas forward to solve problems. Smart colleagues who are grounded and (mostly) ego-free. Company focuses on outcomes, enabling employees to find some work-life harmony...juggling the demands of a professional career with family...as long as you deliver quality on-time, most managers won't tell you where and when it needs to get done.

    Cons

Some processes are still immature for a big, 28-year-old company.

    Advice to Management

Get creative about keeping women in the workforce -- need to break through the gender discrepancy in top leadership roles. Provide more resourcing and funding for career development. This is an area that has historically been underfunded, yet employee feedback over the years indicates it's one of the most requested areas of investment. While it's true that career development comes in all shapes and sizes (not just learning opportunities), Citrix needs to put investment where the talk is, and make sure that we are attracting and retaining the best talent who want to continue to learn and grow.

I worked at Citrix part-time (More than 5 years)

    Cons

I have been working at Citrix full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

good benefits great pay. work from home policy

    Cons

The technical support training takes too long to get one ready to work on support cases. Even with that it does not prepare you for the real cases. You end up relying on other peers for support which causes really extreme stress. Also documentation sucks for their products. for new hires They have a mentor program thats is supposed to make you comfortable with the job so you have someone to guide you however my mentor never even showed any care or willingness to help. I dont think I will last long in this company. Not what I expected when I signed up to work there.

    Advice to Management

Focus on employee moral more. specifically those just starting

I worked at Citrix full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great building, massage chairs, gym, free snacks, cafe on site.

    Cons

Overworked and underpaid. Promotions are based on your spending time with managers outside of the office and becoming friends. Hard work goes overlooked due to young managers who aren't managing but finding ways to get their circle into these positions that they don't qualify nor work for. No work life balance

    Advice to Management

It wouldn't even be worth giving. It would go unheard

I have been working at Citrix full-time

    Pros

The CEO is taking the company in a good direction. Other leaders don't get it. The company would perform even better if employees were as important as customers. We lose the best employees because they miss this point. Need more leaders with heart & competence.

    Cons

Experience is only as good as your immediate manager.

    Advice to Management

    walk the talk
