I have been working at Citrix full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Best place I've ever had the chance to grow my career - entrepreneurial spirit with big-company talent and infrastructure. Employees with ideas are encouraged to bring those ideas forward to solve problems. Smart colleagues who are grounded and (mostly) ego-free. Company focuses on outcomes, enabling employees to find some work-life harmony...juggling the demands of a professional career with family...as long as you deliver quality on-time, most managers won't tell you where and when it needs to get done.

    Cons

Some processes are still immature for a big, 28-year-old company.

    Advice to Management

Get creative about keeping women in the workforce -- need to break through the gender discrepancy in top leadership roles. Provide more resourcing and funding for career development. This is an area that has historically been underfunded, yet employee feedback over the years indicates it's one of the most requested areas of investment. While it's true that career development comes in all shapes and sizes (not just learning opportunities), Citrix needs to put investment where the talk is, and make sure that we are attracting and retaining the best talent who want to continue to learn and grow.

I have been working at Citrix full-time

    Pros

The CEO is taking the company in a good direction. Other leaders don't get it. The company would perform even better if employees were as important as customers. We lose the best employees because they miss this point. Need more leaders with heart & competence.

    Cons

Experience is only as good as your immediate manager.

    Advice to Management

    walk the talk

I have been working at Citrix full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Free breakfast
    - Some major customer names to deal with as well as some great products to work with
    - Generally people are very collaborative

    Cons

    - The only thing guaranteed is change and this can become very frustrating, especially when an approach is not kept for very long and you to constantly adapt.
    - Very few opportunities once you reach a certain level or within certain areas of the organization
    - Dublin office in a bad location
    - Salary not very competitive for what they expect of you

    Advice to Management

Pick an approach and stick to it. Take a while to properly plan things out and forsee the long term consequences of your decisions rather than always changing when you don't get instant results.

    I worked at Citrix full-time

    Pros

I joined Citrix out of college and started with the new hire training program: the 6-month training allowed me (civil engineering background) to learn the basics of technology and have in depth knowledge of Citrix and Microsoft.
After the first six month, I did many rotations with the company to learn more about the different teams I can join (consulting, sales engineering…)
I joined the commercial sales engineering team and I enjoyed everyone I worked with. The best thing for me was learning from our VP and senior management to always put the customer first and to go the extra mile for their success.
Our sales engineering management and readiness teams invest heavily in training us to improve our soft skills, mentoring us and helping us expand our technical acumen.
Citrix has a great vision with our product portfolio and truly integrates and improves the solutions it acquires.
Definitely a company and team I'd recommend and would go back to

    Cons

Nothing worth mentioning in my opinion

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good working of acquiring new technologies and integrating them.
