    Good company, not great execution

    Jun 29, 2015 -

    Pros

Treat employees very well and allow folks to work from homes which is also convenient. Fairly flat organization also makes direct communication simpler.

    Cons

Calcified at the top end of the company. Multiple acquisitions taken together are not necessarily coherent. Encourage remote working however reward folks in the office.

    Pros

Best "Corporate" organization I have worked for: - New work facility in Milton, GA was awesome - Free snacks, drinks, and on each Friday a complimentary breakfast - Great group of diverse team members to collaborate with - Frontline management were GREAT!! - Most of them had done the job and worked up to Mgr. - My Tech Leads were also great to work with, both in Alpharetta and Fort Lauderdale By far ...for me one of the best benefits was having access to all the Citrix (virtualization) products to tinker with. Employee benefits were good in comparison to other places I had worked and family plans were reasonable also for medical and dental. - Can work from home sometimes - it seems the number of days per week you could work from home was based on your progress (see cons too on same)

    Cons

First a note before the cons: I loved the company - came to dislike the job ... had I been in another position, I could see myself being a lifer there. E-micro management ....and numbers .... that's all that seemed to matter any more: - How fast a call was answered, length of call, time to resolution, first call resolution, etc. - I kept decent numbers to remain there for 3 years but I never felt like more than a warm body answering a phone (but this is more personal and directly related to a single position within the company). - Limited movement/opportunities in the Alpharetta office - pretty much either sales or support. To get into operations you'd have to relocate most likely to FL or CA (new positions in NC now). - Moving up/around is like most other corporate cultures - if you are in, you can move up. If not, move out/on. - Work from home should be the norm after a year of employment ...after all Citrix is known for 'Work anywhere'...so practice / participate !!!!

    Stuck between stoneage and future

Jan 18, 2018 - Sales Associate in Dublin, Dublin

    Pros

Talking for the Dublin office here: Salary is good and comission they just rebuilt the office in dublin free breakfast and snacks interesting products Social club for the fun parts Pension is good Healthcare Traveling out of country now and then Talented employees

    Cons

The company is stuck between the stone age and the future and it seems difficult for them to actually doing something right although they are trying. They spent millions on redoing the office. Its much nice then before however anyone could do a better job and with all those money that they have spent on it we expected it to be so much more. Its still gray all over. The products are great and citrix mission is to be able to work from any device at any location. This is all talk from their own side though. Selling the product is great but employees was promised they could work from home from time to time and still we are not allowed. I have heard that other citrix offices allow this but not in dublin. The management is a huge joke. They are the ones that actually destroys everything. They often use abusive words to employees and many of the employees walks around in the office thinking that they will get fired at any time. This MUST stop. Managers are being scared of the ceo and higher levels and take out their insecurity to their employees. Instead of inspire the teams they make everyone feel upset and many walk around feeling that they should look for a different job due to the bad management. Now ive seen a better side of citrix and it can be brilliant if they want to but they need to let go of the horrific way they manage and use the positives to get this company on track. They are so many willing employees but its like they put a rock to employees foot. When you start here you will have to ask your way in to knowledge as they don’t have any good on boarding program. If managers would listen and give trust in their employees, dare to let go of the old way of working and embraced the future this company could be the nr 1 spot. They just seem to fail all the time. Someone please help this sinking ship!

    Pros

good people and work on emerging tech. Decent benefits. Fexible work hours and many people do work from home once in a while. flexibility could be good if you have a lot of other personal commitments. rest is so so.

    Cons

salaries could be better. lot of late night calls with teams in US. It means you will dial in from home almost every other day. Flexibility is limited to what you can make out of it.

Smart people stuck in Stone Age culture

Oct 8, 2014 - Technical Publications in San Francisco, CA

    Pros

Very diverse group of people. Smart, fun, eager to network and collaborate. Flexible WFH (work from home) policy; great for parents or people with medical needs. Laid-back vibe. Great mentors available.

    Cons

Death by PPT. Meeting-heavy culture, especially if leadership is based in FL (HQ). Different groups don't collaborate like they should, let alone share their findings. Too much red tape and politics.
