I have been working at Citrus Valley Health Partners full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I love working here, the family atmosphere is palpable! I have spent most of my adult career here and it is a great place to work. People care about each other and care about doing good work.

    Cons

Not well known in the community. Nobody even knows what CVHP is!

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work. High leaders don't seem to communicate with each other. Don't worry about the org chart so much.

    Pros

Family atmosphere, great benefits, they support education, surprises bonuses when the company is doing well. Potlucks. Mostly friendly people. People tend to stay.

    Cons

Under staffed and uses registry at times. Management doesn't care much about our workload they care more about the productivity numbers. High turnover in management staff.

I worked at Citrus Valley Health Partners full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Close to the freeway and mall; casual dress code; there weren't any other positive things to say about this outdated facility

    Cons

Recruiting and onboarding process is painfully disorganized and lengthy; unrealistic expectations of new hires (supervisors with 25+ years at the company expect trainees to learn antiquated computer programs in less than a week); below average compensation; loud and stressful work environment; inadequate on-site parking

    Advice to Management

Spend the money and update/upgrade to a better software suite! You shouldn't have to enter complicated text strings and codes on over 5 different screens just to get ONE REPORT to print. Make sure the employees who provide tech support are actually qualified to work in that capacity; they don't know how to answer even basic questions about computers.

I have been working at Citrus Valley Health Partners full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Really a good company to work for. Management is very focused on employees and the CEO Robert Curry is very engaged and approachable. And it's for real. It's nice to work for a company that keeps staff updated on projects and general news. Company is also proactive and focused on patients to make sure they always have an excellent experience from walking in the door to leaving. I'm proud and lucky to work for Citrus Valley Health Partners. The company is involved in the community to keep people aware of our services.Very good benefits, too!

    Cons

Can't think of any negative things to say at this time. My salary is quite fair but I wouldn't complain if I received a raise!

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work! By the way, the CEO is not James Yoshioka. It's Robert Curry, who has been there for a number of years.

I have been working at Citrus Valley Health Partners full-time

    Pros

Love my job! Great organization, great leadership, positive environment, family oriented. I came from a well known cancer research hospital, and I was miserable there. It was a great place to be a patient, but definitely not to work at. CVHP is an amazing place to work, I have inherited a second family. So happy to go to work now!

    Cons

Pay is ok, but isn't it always?

    Advice to Management

Never participate in micro-management. It causes so much stress as my previous employment did. Keep your current management outlook, it's amazing.

    Pros

The freedom to do as much work as possible. Ability to work more than 8 hours, when needed.

    Cons

No socialism with coworkers except for meetings and pot lucks.

    Pros

Access to Cafeteria. Good food. Nice co-workers. Small hospital. In a nice town area. Mostly every employee from the cafe ladies to the other lab techs are nice and humble.

    Cons

Shady practices. They don't care how you run your lab, lots of safety practices were skipped or non-existant. Communication is lacking among higher ups to the lower employees. There is a gap where people think they are better than you.

    Advice to Management

If she's not already, fire the lab manager. She has never worked as a lab tech and has no idea how to run a lab.
