I worked at Citrus Valley Health Partners full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Close to the freeway and mall; casual dress code; there weren't any other positive things to say about this outdated facility

    Cons

Recruiting and onboarding process is painfully disorganized and lengthy; unrealistic expectations of new hires (supervisors with 25+ years at the company expect trainees to learn antiquated computer programs in less than a week); below average compensation; loud and stressful work environment; inadequate on-site parking

    Advice to Management

Spend the money and update/upgrade to a better software suite! You shouldn't have to enter complicated text strings and codes on over 5 different screens just to get ONE REPORT to print. Make sure the employees who provide tech support are actually qualified to work in that capacity; they don't know how to answer even basic questions about computers.

I have been working at Citrus Valley Health Partners (More than a year)

    Pros

unlimited overtime. That's really about it

    Cons

Most of the Security Officers have zero training. Officers who have been there for many years are literally idiots. Horrible decision making skills, cannot talk effectively to patients and employees. Huge lack of professionalism. Absolutely zero advancement opportunity within Security. No management. Corporate Security Director only. No supervisors, no managers, no accountability

    Advice to Management

    Hire quality Supervisors and managers

I have been working at Citrus Valley Health Partners full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

There is room to grow for new RN's here. A good attitude is valued over job experience. If you are have good customer service skills, you can get a job. You are in a union here and get fair representation with CNA.

    Cons

There are almost all new Directors here in addition to a new Chief Nursing Officer (head of all the directors) in addition to a Chief nursing Executive (head of all the CNE's over three hospitals and a hospice) just quit and everyone has something to prove. Do not get on their radar or they will get ride you until you quit. Very much favoritism.

    Advice to Management

Train your staff to be good employees and not disposable units.

    Pros

Access to Cafeteria. Good food. Nice co-workers. Small hospital. In a nice town area. Mostly every employee from the cafe ladies to the other lab techs are nice and humble.

    Cons

Shady practices. They don't care how you run your lab, lots of safety practices were skipped or non-existant. Communication is lacking among higher ups to the lower employees. There is a gap where people think they are better than you.

    Advice to Management

If she's not already, fire the lab manager. She has never worked as a lab tech and has no idea how to run a lab.

    Pros

Friendly atmosphere everyone likes to help, sense of caring for patients is greatly encouraged in all departments. CEO is always communicating with staff.

    Cons

Low pay, cut back in benefits, to many chiefs and not enough workers to need work deadlines. No room for advancement

I worked at Citrus Valley Health Partners (More than a year)

    Pros

The people I worked with were great. I was a part of a great team. As a team we took a time to learn new policies and stay informed with all ins updates.

    Cons

The ins benifits became a lot more difficult to understand only because of the new change within the company.

    Advice to Management

I do not have any advice to management. Being a lead I feel it was inportant for me to do things with us in mind and not me in mind. To be open to lerd from staff and make sure they had a friendly and safe place to work.

    Pros

    Benefits fairly good, premiums low.

    Cons

Short staffed most units. More responsibility for RN without additional resources.

    Advice to Management

Shadow nurses from different floors for 12 hrs to get a better perspective of the struggles we face.
