    Pros

Family like atmosphere with co workers great team to learn from and teach lots of job skills skills

    Cons

City management doesn't take care of there long term employees and doesn't pay enough to make new or older employees live without food stamps or some kind of government assistance

    Advice to Management

Stop wasting taxpayers money on junk like a ballpark and down town and spend more in the residential areas and more on the people that take care of it and pay your employees a wage they can live on and take care of its family

I have been working at City of Amarillo, Texas full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Get to spend time by yourself and work at your own pace as long as everything gets done there will be no problems. Get 3 days off a week. Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday.

    Cons

work too many hours (11.5 hour days) they take an hour and a half out of your paycheck automatically for a lunch you may or may not get to take. Pay is too low to live on, any raise you get will be taken back by their "insurance policy" or any other means they come up with.

    Advice to Management

Pay your workers what they're worth and stop trying to pocket money for yourselves or other businesses if your going to take 12 hours of someones day for 4 times a week they deserve to get paid a good wage.

I worked at City of Amarillo, Texas full-time

    Pros

If you know the right people, go to the right church, and say the right things you might be okay here.

    Cons

Extreme political views, racism, and bigotry are pervasive. Max of 10% raise for any promotion and leadership consists of 95% white males. I personally witnessed racist comments made by management regarding new minority employees and candidates.

    Advice to Management

    Diversify and modernize.
