I have been working at City of Asheville as an intern

    Pros

Salary is always a consideration when looking for work, but it is equally important that the environment be worth going into work every day. The people in the IT department are great to work with at the City of Asheville.

    Cons

As an intern, there have been a couple of times I was asked to do things I didn't have sufficient privileges for, which made it a bit difficult to complete work orders.

    Cons

The benefits are great, but compensation is quite low. I would make about 50% more working a very similar job in the Triangle.
