    Off on the weekends & decent benefits.

    Cons

    No raises or promotions. Don't issue proper safety equipment to work with.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to the employees and show compassion. Issue better equipment.

    Good potential to improve organization effectiveness and reduce unnecessary expenditures and make a positive impact. to the citizens.

    Cons

    Not interested in improving organizational effectiveness and especially not interested in reducing unnecessary expenditures. There are too many special interests and a culture has been created that is not inclusive.

    Advice to Management

    Support performers and don't punish them for being ethical.

    Pros

    Great health benefits and all the basic perks you would expect working for a large city. The work day ends exactly at 5:00, which is good for work/life balance.

    Cons

    Early mornings - the day begins exactly at 8:00, which can be difficult for individuals who have to clock in and out every day.

    Take a page from the private sector and compensate and upgrade employees that work hard and excel in their respective fields instead of giving promotions to friends and beneficial counterparts that will help assist in furthering your own career.
