    Pros

Working for the City of Beaumont is one of the most stable positions that you can find. Benefits are fantastic: Retirement, time off, insurance, etc.

    Cons

There are a number of inadequate supervisors throughout the city. There are often times obvious favorites.

I worked at City of Beaumont full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The city has a great benefit package and the longer you work there the more vacation you accumulate. The city manager is young and has a lot of great ideas.

    Cons

The city manager does not seem to think that his department directors can do any wrong. He lets them have free reign and they sometimes abuse that power for personal reasons.

    Advice to Management

Supervise the directors and make them accountable when they unfairly enforce rules for some employees but not for all of them.
