    Pros

Flex hours, benefits, inter department movement and training opportunities.

    Cons

Politics, nepotism, cronyism. Lack of accountability of the senior management. Very inefficient HR.

    Advice to Management

There must be an established process of evaluation of the management conducted by the council and that needs to be arbitrated by an independent body.

I have been working at City of Calgary full-time

    Pros

The City has great benefits and salary compensation. Very competitive. And as part of a large organizationa person can get a variety of experience all in one organization. You can move around in different areas and outside your current professional area.

    Cons

For professional communicators right now, it is not a great option. There is a lot of upheaval with the communications reorganization. Know that if you are coming g to The City, you are coming to a place where change is constant and things are very uncertain.

    Advice to Management

I'm not sure what to put here as I think they are in a tough spot.
