    Pros

    Great work life balance, good pension plan. Expanding education is encouraged through reimbursement. There is plenty of work to do

    Cons

    No work from home opportunities. Technology is a bit behind. Very compartmentalized and specific tasks and functions. Implementing new projects is very slow.

    Advice to Management

    Try to be being in more current technology

    Pros

    Chandler is an up and coming city. Many great events to work at and the people are so nice and accommodating.

    Wish more hours would be in my position

    Pros

    Leadership was open to new ideas and understanding of the needs and concerns of the employees. Employees were provided opportunities to pursue professional development.

    Cons

    Lower compensation than private-sector colleagues, but that is to be expected in government engineering department. Projects are mostly "business as usual" with minimal opportunities to innovate.

    Great facility (Tumbleweed), make your own schedule and set price for classes.

    Communication between and training of COC employees wasn't great.

    Support your Instructors as they are the backbone of the recreation program.
