I have been working at City of Charlotte full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great Benefits, love the laypersons I work with in the trenches.

    Cons

There is an extreme amount of politics that must be tolerated if one wants to advance. Nepotism is also a problem. The technology was just upgraded but is still under utilized and antiquated because of all the previous systems dumping in information.

Great benefits, diverse job responsibilities and variable work times. The City of Charlotte offers various jobs in locations throughout the city. Many jobs offer variable schedules and opportunities for promotion or transfer.

I worked at City of Charlotte for more than 8 years

    Pros

great benefits, there was always work to do, it was a very relaxed atmosphere, fairly safe environment to work in, you're paid weekly, new skill levels can be achieved or fine tuned with an appetite to learn, overall not a bad place to work.

    Cons

low wages, early mornings, company changes constantly with a false since of direction allegedly geared towards the employees, if you ever get in trouble there's no safety net of protection coming from your supervisors at all, favoritism is alive & well in this city department, weather you are a good employee or not doesn't matter if you're not a favorite of the leaders whom can make an impact in your success or demise with this company.
