    Pros

    Good salary, good working conditions, excellent benefits. Get to see many different types of construction sites.

    Cons

    Constant worry about pensions that we have all paid into, if you do not have political clout your chances of moving up are nil.

    Advice to Management

    Start looking at the individual and not the ward they come from or the clout they have or have not.

    Most interesting projects I have ever worked on. Better environment that other City of Chicago offices.

    Cons

    Poor salary. No credits for hard work. No promotions. Disorganized as every other local government.

    Don't lose your best employees.

    As a intern, it was good opportunity to work for a start up companies. Nice people. good working environment. Good opportunity to learn.

    Cons

    They do not have great specific job function. Some people are doing multiple functions jobs. Maybe not good for a international student.
